My daughter has been raised on South Park, The Simpsons, The Family Guy, and so on. Those shows are brilliant satire, and I can't imagine why any parent would shield their child from such genius. At 17, she is a total political junkie (just last night, she stayed home on a Friday to watch the presidential debates with us.The debates and State of the Union addresses are like sporting events in our house)and I credit South Park for being a large contributor to her mindset.Plus,it's so dang funny!

I don;t what it means exactly but before the water-shed you can't show sex or say fuck and such.

My daughter has been raised on South Park, The Simpsons, The Family Guy, and so on. Those shows are brilliant satire, and I can't imagine why any parent would shield their child from such genius. At 17, she is a total political junkie (just last night, she stayed home on a Friday to watch the presidential debates with us.The debates and State of the Union addresses are like sporting events in our house)and I credit South Park for being a large contributor to her mindset.Plus,it's so dang funny!

I completely agree with you. I've been watching South Park from since I was 16 and it has had the same affect on me.
I feel those parents who want to shield their children from shows such as South Park should simply stop their children from watching them. Rather than whining and calling for the show to be banned or cancelled.

I always have the same arguments with Conservative parents(some in my own family). Americans are just so bad about giving the kids all these arbitrary rules,and then the kids go nuts,end up on drugs, pregnant, married at 18,and so on.Meanwhile, my older teen decided on her own that she was too busy pursuing her interests to even bother dating in high school.
I love the SP episode where Kyle's mom makes a fuss about Terrence and Phillip being inappropriate. So, so hilarious.
