L'unica macchia della finale 1982 e' il commento orribile di Martellini (come tutti i suoi commenti del resto). Diceva solo i nomi dei giocatori e basta. Se uno lo sentiva per radio nemmeno sapeva in quale porta stavano attaccando.

La época de oro de los mundiales de futbol fue de México 70 a Italia 90. Esos 6 mundiales tienen los mejores goles, las mejores jugadas, los mejores partidos, los mejores jugadores, las mejores mascotas, las mejores canciones, las mejores anécdotas...y las mejores celebraciones. Ahora hay muchísima tecnología, se juega un futbol muy estudiado y competitivo, pero falta aquella magia, que nunca volverá.
vi esa final por tv y me hice hincha de la seleccion de italia desde aquel gol cuya celebracion se quedo grabada en mi mente y en mi corazon, no me canso de verla y me hace emocionar hasta las lagrimas... guardando las distancias, he sentido una emocion parecida cuando he hecho algunos goles en mi equipo de barrio de antaño.

I shed a tear every time I watch this or Grosso's celebrations, they are powerful and betray pure emotion.
I was there. One of the few people who can say to have seen Tardelli's celebration for real. Sadly though I do not remember a thing, as I was busy celebrating. Being a Juve supporter I was used to celebrate goals, and being 17 I did not appreciate I was witnessing football history. I remember attempting to shake hands with a German fan after the 1-0, and finally shaking hands at the 3-0 .
I missed this beauty in '82 because I was at Paris Island. Marine Corps boot camp. But twenty-four years later Fabio Grosso gave me a moment I can't EVER forget. 1938, 1938, 1982 and 2006. Forza Italia!
I'm second generation Italian-American so the ol' country is still strong in my bones. Have visited Roma, Anzio and Lecce. Ya' know, sometimes we Italians don't play thee most beautiful football...but when we do even the Germans and Brazilians have to take notice. Cheers!

No somersaults or crap dancing here, just pure, raw, honest emotion. It almost gives you the feeling of what it is like to score for your country on the greatest stage of all. An exceptional goal from and exceptional player. He's assistant coach to Trapattoni at the moment and I think he will get the main job when The Trap steps down. Hopefully some of that passion will rub off and the Irish players and we will finally get ourselves back in the mix for the finals of a major tournament.

Greatest goal celebration ever. Tardelli heralded it with the intensity of his eyes: "sonno campeoni di mondo". Germany were finished at that point. That celebration, more than that goal, did them in. It was a confesion of victory.

Marco tardelli, was a star of Juventus, the most supported club in italy. A great player and a great man. My heart is forever with that team, especially because the almost entire team was composed by juventus players... like ever...

What he says is beautiful, how in that one instant he saw his entire life pass by, like if he was dieing and was born again, how he used to play as a kid, his family, Italy, and everything he has accomplised in life. Simply breathtaking. I can only imagine what it felt like.

I shed a tear every time I watch this or Grosso's celebrations, they are powerful and betray pure emotion.
I was there. One of the few people who can say to have seen Tardelli's celebration for real. Sadly though I do not remember a thing, as I was busy celebrating. Being a Juve supporter I was used to celebrate goals, and being 17 I did not appreciate I was witnessing football history. I remember attempting to shake hands with a German fan after the 1-0, and finally shaking hands at the 3-0 .

I missed this beauty in '82 because I was at Paris Island. Marine Corps boot camp. But twenty-four years later Fabio Grosso gave me a moment I can't EVER forget. 1938, 1938, 1982 and 2006. Forza Italia!

I'm second generation Italian-American so the ol' country is still strong in my bones. Have visited Roma, Anzio and Lecce. Ya' know, sometimes we Italians don't play thee most beautiful football...but when we do even the Germans and Brazilians have to take notice. Cheers!

No somersaults or crap dancing here, just pure, raw, honest emotion. It almost gives you the feeling of what it is like to score for your country on the greatest stage of all. An exceptional goal from and exceptional player. He's assistant coach to Trapattoni at the moment and I think he will get the main job when The Trap steps down. Hopefully some of that passion will rub off and the Irish players and we will finally get ourselves back in the mix for the finals of a major tournament.

Greatest goal celebration ever. Tardelli heralded it with the intensity of his eyes: "sonno campeoni di mondo". Germany were finished at that point. That celebration, more than that goal, did them in. It was a confesion of victory.
