The "game" involved so many people doing just the right at just the right time that there was a 90% chance that the whole plan would have gone nowhere. You expect me to believe that this brilliant engineer spends what seems like a massive amount of effort setting up an incredibly complex morality play with so many variables that it depends mostly on dumb luck so succeed.
