I LOVE this build. I tried pious renewal build but it focuses too much on sopl, and 1 imbue health takes too long to recharge. i tried life sheath dervish too with some success but i think this is much better. it doesnt really have condition/hex removal but who cares as long as u keep the health up? too bad it got voted off of wiki
The most wins ive ever gotten to in RA was 23, & it was with a very shity team, but we had a dervish healer.. & he was the best healer ive ever seen, i mean this guy nothing bothered him daze/hexes/maass ele spikes got through everything w/ out a problem, we lost cuz the war decided to use frenzy to attak through empathy & insdious, & the sin didnt stop attaking either.. eventually the derv got pissed & left. But yea greatest healer is a derv.

@fuckgow What I think is cool is that I used to catch no end of grief running this build. People constantly talking trash that I was a noob for running a 'gimmick' build, but I noticed it always seemed like they were talking their smack while they were either laying dead or back on the beach and I was still playing.
.........Now, with all the nerfs and buffs in GW PvP, and all the builds that were trashed because of them, 2-1/2 years later, a 'gimmick' build that got voted off PVX Wiki as being trash is still breaking hearts.
Everything has a work-around. Some work better than others, its just a matter of figuring out what works best for you.
This is one of the most flexible builds out there, spend some time playing it different ways in different situations. Don't get frustrated by getting beat pretty regular while you experiment with the build to find your groove. Good Luck
@Jammonstrald Theres one skill in there thats variant now since armor is updated thats the shield of force you can replace that with feeting stability if your comfortable with the build and can handle the management of getting rid of it before its expiration but it can crowd your bar so be careful if you use it

I played blackout ranger in ra and had a team of 3 rangers, 1 sin. the first time i ran into you, we won. You got back at us though, killed us on our 10th game lol. Your team spiked the shit out of me and no one could rupt anything on your bar even w/ 3 rangers.
Now that makes me feel bad. Its cool to go 10 wins with no healer. It means you actually have 4 players that know what they're doing. Kinda wish I'd lost the rematch.

Yes. If the 15 sec cooldown of AoS bothers you now, you can put your ramaining 3 att points into Illusion Magic and swap AoS for Illusion of Haste. It works pretty good for fueling SoPL
very amazing heals :) no hex-removal or condition-removal could end up painfull, then again you can outheal spells like backfire, emphaty etc. Also with the new update everything even casters can tank, armor of sancicty is very (over)powerfull

na.. these are rounds where his team doesnt really get much dmg.... its easy to heal with even a worse build, if he played a normal round in ra with more dmg, he wouldnt be able to heal up his team that easily
Actually, out of all the legitimate shortcomings this build has, healing power isn't one of them. It can turn bigger numbers for longer sustained periods than about any 4v4 healing build out there. A lot of people have started using it in RA specifically because the power heals are so strong and the e-management is so good.
This build works great when known how to use, take a sec and try it out.

I use this quite often and its really great. Even tho Echo is mainly for Imbue Health it still has other uses such as Echoing Vital Boon for when taking lots of dmg, and Echoing Shield of Force if Attack Skills are your problem. Most enchants take 1/4 cast so you can cast burn cast burn.
but for some reason on the video... the teams health is not going down quickly like it usually does... do you a other healer in there or is it fixed?
because when your put in with other people some tend to be bad so no way they can keep up they're health when a full party is attacking them and when u cast enchants u still dotn see they're health drop allot?
No, I don't record games when there is another healer and I don't know what you mean by 'fixed'. The amount of damage seems pretty typical for RA to me. I do keep my party health bar larger than the default. Maybe that has something to do with what your talking about.
i lovee this build, however i do hav some troubles when i get kd'd when im casting pious light and if i am casting pious light with only one enchant up, and someone rupts me, then pious has to recharge... other than those two situations, i friken love this healing build. i get like 2 10 wins every night, it rulz. ty
well bending there are weaknesses in all builds lol even though id like to believe ninefingers build is an invincible beast the pious KD is a killer to yourself at times but thats its weakness is that you are the weakness. and if ur getting rupted then why arent u putting up pious concentration lol and then casting pious without an enchant is ur bad then lol i find that the armor of sanc is a great pious fueler in close sit. the only int ud have to worry about would be a power block = game over.
no i mean im in the middle of casting pious but only hav one enchant up, because i dont hav enough time to cast 2, and somebody trys to rupt me causing the enchant to go away.
Well, look at it this way... You get d-shotted with only one enchant up with Pious Concentration, you still get your heal and the cool down is only 20 instead of 40. I always try and keep 2 nchants up for your reason and incase one gets stripped when I'm using SoPL.... especially if I'm using SoPL to burn Diversion.
When i first watched this i identified all your skills immediately then looked at your profile for Attributes.
I went to test it and was stunned in my first 2/5 entrances into RA i got 1 glad point. The E management is perfect. A counter/flaw i found was when Echo runs out it can lead into some nasty situations while recharging o.o that got me killed almost all of the times i did die. You yourself seem to be a weak point though to mez's too. Congrats on an original excellent build though,
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy running the build. One double top secret trick I use to help out when Echo is recharging... I use Pious Concentration as a timer to let me know when my Echo is going to expire and I use it right before it runs out. 1-1/2 cycles of the stance, and I know I have about 3 sec left before it expires.
yeah thank you the pious helps to be ready for when the echo runs out. i also like your reccomendation for echoing vital it helps for your own heals and heals on others. once i began using that i jumped from about 5 wins with decent team to about 10 every time.

hmm, i normally use Veil of Thorns instead of Aura of Force, Veil gives the enemy crippled, so u can run away and heal up and run back in, the problem i always have is energy, do u normally only use signet of Pious light, and then use imbue health for emergencies? if so that solves my energy problem. if u wnat to contact me my IGN is Grimmsbrother Three.
I don't generally have energy problems. You need to have 15 in Mysticism to get the 5e return when an enchant ends and just find the happy medium between Imbue and SoPL.
i do have 15 mysticism and 13 earth prayers, and i fasced u a few days ago, at the time i was a D/Me healer too, i told everyone to attack u, and they didnt listen, ur good.
I actually used to use Aura of Thorns. It works pretty good. Since I got Eye of the North, I prefer Shield of Force because it deals weakness and, if you have Armor of Sanctity up, attackers usually do -0- damage, so no need to kite them. I also like to use it to block hammer KD and to break sin's attack chains. I've also played around with using Fleeting Stability, but it doesn't fit well into the build.
you no wat i love abt healing in ra, not being a monk or rit when im doing it, i run necro/rts, d/me, d/rt, d/mo and i can heal almost always freely without pressure. Man i ran woh warrior and got 15 glads off of it, some people in guild wars just dont know how to spot the healer
i couldn't agree more, people still hate me cause they say derv healers suck -.- 5 consecutive matches later, they think otherwise :). still, KD's will murder u if not blocked correctly. (such as the time wen everyone on the opposing team targeted me :P)
Ya Ya Ya, I've heard it all before. I've been hit by everything in Guild Wars in every possible combination. 3,230 Glad points later, the line of potential rapists crawling out of Arenas, with shocked expressions and sore asses, is long and distinguished.
The build isn't supposed to be the end-all be-all of healing, from what I see of it. It has its counters, just like every build does, but what it does - pure, massive healing - it does incredibly.
I like how you use Pious Concentration to prevent interrupts while giving you the Mysticism bonus, but watch out for my mesmer ;) (i'm Psychic Distraction user in pvp though i know it leaves me disabled too). Expel hexes is a nice Elite for a D/Me but really, you don't need it for your kind of healing and echo is also an enchantment (Mysticism bonus) so I really like your style in healing.
Haha, don't worry I also realized how Diversion Proof you are and that interrupting your signet is no easy task as I saw in your other video. Meant every word when I tried my own version too recently. And I LOVED IT XD (I gotta watch out when I don't have enchantments on though...)
I may just be me, but that makes about as much sense as two pounds left of Thursday. I'm not a WoW fan. I'm strictly PvP, and WoW is geared more towards PvE. Their PvP setup sucks.
used it for 5 tries and heres the outcome :P : the healing is great but has quite a large recharge which can become a problem, I fased a VoR mes with Backfire which gave me a problem,I ran out of nrg I had 52 nrg... but that just might be me spamming loads... all togheter not bad but think a stance WoH monk will survive better against a well balanced team.
VoR/Backfire is easy to beat if you Echo Vital Boon instead of Imbue and work the signet. You can completely change the strength of this build from power party heal to power defense to power self heal by which skill you Echo. If you are running out of energy, you are relying too heavily on Imbue and not enough on your signet. Good Luck.
Stats are 15 Mysticism (Major Rune + Mask) & 13 Earth (Minor Rune). The stats are very important, especially for the +5e return on the Mysticism bonus. For the best results, don't deviate. Good Luck
This build was intended and specifically designed around RA. Saying it won't work in HA or GvG is like saying monks can heal. It's blatantly obvious. And actually it wasn't constructive criticism, you didn't make one reccomedation, all you did was insult it. Every time you paid a complement you dismissed it immediately afterwards.
Please think this through, it probably DID offend ninefingers in some way.....
the reason I said this doesn't work in gvg is because most people watching this vidio is new to GW or relaxed PvErs. If they didn't know better they would bring the build into GvG/HA. And btw: constructive criticism = telling a flaw of a build AND how to make better. I'm saying that heavy enchantment removal will kill this build. Thus, after this feedback, he can add a party heal that doesnt really that much on enchantments? and you SHOULD THINK UR COMMENT THRO before u post plz.
Actually, all heavy enchant removal does is heal me and give me energy. The enchants are fast CD, fast cast, and free with the mysticism bonus. Stripping enchants just gives me 35 health every time one is stripped and I just recast the damn thing. I'm not going to change the build. After numerous modifications over 1k hours of playing it and 3000 glad points, I think I've refined it to be as efficient as this concept is capable of being for Arenas.

I believe it's less vulnerable to enchant removal than a protection monk. Because the removal of enchants will only fuel the derv's energy via mysticism. Plus, none of the skills have incredibly long recharges, and can be stacked for safety.
Lol I'm not great mechanic, though I don't think you'll have to be, but still. I don't think I'll be able to do that. Though, it does sound extremely useful, and I can see through the video that it's very effective. Thats still awesome though.
I made a pair of pedals from the circuit board out of a USB keyboard and 2 horn buttons from Autozone. I select Party Member Next with my right foot, and Party Member Previous with my left foot. Changing targets with pedals is incredibly fast and efficient.

This build was designed, in part, to shut down interrupts. Most of the skills are 1/4 cast, that isnt considered a long cast where I play, and if you can rupt through PC, you are a top notch ranger indeed. I truly doubt you would enjoy playing an rupt ranger against this build when someone knows how to run it properly, because it makes them too insignificant to even be considered an annoyance. And, yes, out of 2500 glad points and almost 5 mil faction, I have played an rupt ranger or 2.
its not easy to counter lol, thats why you have pious concentration for interrupts and daze, and its not slow cast, immune health casts 1/4 of a sec and pious concentration activates automatically.
I never meant to claim that this was the best healing build out there. It has strengths and weaknesses, just like any other build. What I will say is that, if you practice this build and get good with it, its one of the funnest healing builds to run I've ever played. That is really my sole purpose for playing Guild Wars..... to have fun. Of course, winning is more fun that losing... and you can win with this.... you can win a lot. Give it a try if you like, I hope you find it as fun as I do.
The fact that you comment on 'try to stop' it makes me lulz pretty damn hard. you have no condition removal and no hex removal. Diversion will stomp the build since it's based off spamming heals, d-shot will shut you down, any kind of melee hate on your team will just make your teams damage output rofl-worthy and all in all, it isn't a good build. Even me joking around with a horribly outdated boon prot bar works better.

Why yes, yes I do. I've used your build and played against it. You act as if diversion is on a 30 second recast or something, I assure you it isn't, you might not be able to diversion sig, but you sure as hell can the enchants. And a heal every 20s doesn't cut it.
D-shot does "do dick" as echo does not get insta-recasted, and neither do any of your other skills. That said even assuming you don't get shut down when you're frontline and midline are all blinded,dazed and hexed to hell, then what?
It's becoming obvious that it is of no use trying to help you understand how the build works in this forum. The results this build produces for the people who understand it and have the skills to run it are undeniable. All I can say to you is pack your D-shot, your Diversion, and a big bucket-o-WTF and hit the "enter battle" button. I'll help you understand that way.

I will bleed you dry at 10e a pop for Diversion. Educate yourself and I may unblock you. Offer stands, bring it. I'm not hard to find.
I remember this run, because we got beat by a friend of mines TA team. He is one of the best players in TA and he only plays with other good players. He PMd me after and said we were their 29th consecutive TA win, and we still got 3 kills. All melee or not, I wouldnt call it a POS team. Everyone stayed together and stayed on target. Keeping your team alive is a lot easier when they know how to play smart. Thanks for the run!

Make sure you have 15 Myst, 13 Earth, and your health over 600 with Vital Boon up to max out Imbue. Buff your energy with the rest.

Yes. If the 15 sec cooldown of AoS bothers you now, you can put your ramaining 3 att points into Illusion Magic and swap AoS for Illusion of Haste. It works pretty good for fueling SoPL

very amazing heals :) no hex-removal or condition-removal could end up painfull, then again you can outheal spells like backfire, emphaty etc. Also with the new update everything even casters can tank, armor of sancicty is very (over)powerfull

na.. these are rounds where his team doesnt really get much dmg.... its easy to heal with even a worse build, if he played a normal round in ra with more dmg, he wouldnt be able to heal up his team that easily

Actually, out of all the legitimate shortcomings this build has, healing power isn't one of them. It can turn bigger numbers for longer sustained periods than about any 4v4 healing build out there. A lot of people have started using it in RA specifically because the power heals are so strong and the e-management is so good.

I use this quite often and its really great. Even tho Echo is mainly for Imbue Health it still has other uses such as Echoing Vital Boon for when taking lots of dmg, and Echoing Shield of Force if Attack Skills are your problem. Most enchants take 1/4 cast so you can cast burn cast burn.

because when your put in with other people some tend to be bad so no way they can keep up they're health when a full party is attacking them and when u cast enchants u still dotn see they're health drop allot?

No, I don't record games when there is another healer and I don't know what you mean by 'fixed'. The amount of damage seems pretty typical for RA to me. I do keep my party health bar larger than the default. Maybe that has something to do with what your talking about.

i lovee this build, however i do hav some troubles when i get kd'd when im casting pious light and if i am casting pious light with only one enchant up, and someone rupts me, then pious has to recharge... other than those two situations, i friken love this healing build. i get like 2 10 wins every night, it rulz. ty

well bending there are weaknesses in all builds lol even though id like to believe ninefingers build is an invincible beast the pious KD is a killer to yourself at times but thats its weakness is that you are the weakness. and if ur getting rupted then why arent u putting up pious concentration lol and then casting pious without an enchant is ur bad then lol i find that the armor of sanc is a great pious fueler in close sit. the only int ud have to worry about would be a power block = game over.

Well, look at it this way... You get d-shotted with only one enchant up with Pious Concentration, you still get your heal and the cool down is only 20 instead of 40. I always try and keep 2 nchants up for your reason and incase one gets stripped when I'm using SoPL.... especially if I'm using SoPL to burn Diversion.

When i first watched this i identified all your skills immediately then looked at your profile for Attributes.
I went to test it and was stunned in my first 2/5 entrances into RA i got 1 glad point. The E management is perfect. A counter/flaw i found was when Echo runs out it can lead into some nasty situations while recharging o.o that got me killed almost all of the times i did die. You yourself seem to be a weak point though to mez's too. Congrats on an original excellent build though,

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy running the build. One double top secret trick I use to help out when Echo is recharging... I use Pious Concentration as a timer to let me know when my Echo is going to expire and I use it right before it runs out. 1-1/2 cycles of the stance, and I know I have about 3 sec left before it expires.

yeah thank you the pious helps to be ready for when the echo runs out. i also like your reccomendation for echoing vital it helps for your own heals and heals on others. once i began using that i jumped from about 5 wins with decent team to about 10 every time.

hmm, i normally use Veil of Thorns instead of Aura of Force, Veil gives the enemy crippled, so u can run away and heal up and run back in, the problem i always have is energy, do u normally only use signet of Pious light, and then use imbue health for emergencies? if so that solves my energy problem. if u wnat to contact me my IGN is Grimmsbrother Three.

I don't generally have energy problems. You need to have 15 in Mysticism to get the 5e return when an enchant ends and just find the happy medium between Imbue and SoPL.

I actually used to use Aura of Thorns. It works pretty good. Since I got Eye of the North, I prefer Shield of Force because it deals weakness and, if you have Armor of Sanctity up, attackers usually do -0- damage, so no need to kite them. I also like to use it to block hammer KD and to break sin's attack chains. I've also played around with using Fleeting Stability, but it doesn't fit well into the build.

you no wat i love abt healing in ra, not being a monk or rit when im doing it, i run necro/rts, d/me, d/rt, d/mo and i can heal almost always freely without pressure. Man i ran woh warrior and got 15 glads off of it, some people in guild wars just dont know how to spot the healer

The build isn't supposed to be the end-all be-all of healing, from what I see of it. It has its counters, just like every build does, but what it does - pure, massive healing - it does incredibly.

I like how you use Pious Concentration to prevent interrupts while giving you the Mysticism bonus, but watch out for my mesmer ;) (i'm Psychic Distraction user in pvp though i know it leaves me disabled too). Expel hexes is a nice Elite for a D/Me but really, you don't need it for your kind of healing and echo is also an enchantment (Mysticism bonus) so I really like your style in healing.

used it for 5 tries and heres the outcome :P : the healing is great but has quite a large recharge which can become a problem, I fased a VoR mes with Backfire which gave me a problem,I ran out of nrg I had 52 nrg... but that just might be me spamming loads... all togheter not bad but think a stance WoH monk will survive better against a well balanced team.

VoR/Backfire is easy to beat if you Echo Vital Boon instead of Imbue and work the signet. You can completely change the strength of this build from power party heal to power defense to power self heal by which skill you Echo. If you are running out of energy, you are relying too heavily on Imbue and not enough on your signet. Good Luck.

Stats are 15 Mysticism (Major Rune + Mask) & 13 Earth (Minor Rune). The stats are very important, especially for the +5e return on the Mysticism bonus. For the best results, don't deviate. Good Luck

2. Try that build in organized HA/GvG and he'll get owned just like that.
3. and smart necros will kill this derv easily. This build isn't "1337" or anything its good but a simple rend on spike will have him easily killed.

This build was intended and specifically designed around RA. Saying it won't work in HA or GvG is like saying monks can heal. It's blatantly obvious. And actually it wasn't constructive criticism, you didn't make one reccomedation, all you did was insult it. Every time you paid a complement you dismissed it immediately afterwards.
Please think this through, it probably DID offend ninefingers in some way.....

the reason I said this doesn't work in gvg is because most people watching this vidio is new to GW or relaxed PvErs. If they didn't know better they would bring the build into GvG/HA. And btw: constructive criticism = telling a flaw of a build AND how to make better. I'm saying that heavy enchantment removal will kill this build. Thus, after this feedback, he can add a party heal that doesnt really that much on enchantments? and you SHOULD THINK UR COMMENT THRO before u post plz.

Actually, all heavy enchant removal does is heal me and give me energy. The enchants are fast CD, fast cast, and free with the mysticism bonus. Stripping enchants just gives me 35 health every time one is stripped and I just recast the damn thing. I'm not going to change the build. After numerous modifications over 1k hours of playing it and 3000 glad points, I think I've refined it to be as efficient as this concept is capable of being for Arenas.

I believe it's less vulnerable to enchant removal than a protection monk. Because the removal of enchants will only fuel the derv's energy via mysticism. Plus, none of the skills have incredibly long recharges, and can be stacked for safety.

I made a pair of pedals from the circuit board out of a USB keyboard and 2 horn buttons from Autozone. I select Party Member Next with my right foot, and Party Member Previous with my left foot. Changing targets with pedals is incredibly fast and efficient.

like i play ranger for the most part, and i love people that play this build because it's all a bunch of slow casts that rely on eachother to work.
(you've probably experienced an int ranger on you at some point?..)

This build was designed, in part, to shut down interrupts. Most of the skills are 1/4 cast, that isnt considered a long cast where I play, and if you can rupt through PC, you are a top notch ranger indeed. I truly doubt you would enjoy playing an rupt ranger against this build when someone knows how to run it properly, because it makes them too insignificant to even be considered an annoyance. And, yes, out of 2500 glad points and almost 5 mil faction, I have played an rupt ranger or 2.

its not easy to counter lol, thats why you have pious concentration for interrupts and daze, and its not slow cast, immune health casts 1/4 of a sec and pious concentration activates automatically.

I never meant to claim that this was the best healing build out there. It has strengths and weaknesses, just like any other build. What I will say is that, if you practice this build and get good with it, its one of the funnest healing builds to run I've ever played. That is really my sole purpose for playing Guild Wars..... to have fun. Of course, winning is more fun that losing... and you can win with this.... you can win a lot. Give it a try if you like, I hope you find it as fun as I do.

The fact that you comment on 'try to stop' it makes me lulz pretty damn hard. you have no condition removal and no hex removal. Diversion will stomp the build since it's based off spamming heals, d-shot will shut you down, any kind of melee hate on your team will just make your teams damage output rofl-worthy and all in all, it isn't a good build. Even me joking around with a horribly outdated boon prot bar works better.

Why yes, yes I do. I've used your build and played against it. You act as if diversion is on a 30 second recast or something, I assure you it isn't, you might not be able to diversion sig, but you sure as hell can the enchants. And a heal every 20s doesn't cut it.
D-shot does "do dick" as echo does not get insta-recasted, and neither do any of your other skills. That said even assuming you don't get shut down when you're frontline and midline are all blinded,dazed and hexed to hell, then what?

That's the best you can come up with? "Press Enter Battle"? I've already said it, I've played as and against it and in both cases it failed pretty damn epically. The inability to remove blind being the #1 problem with it, actually. What's it matter if you keep everyone alive when you won't have any damage output? I remember this run, because we got beat by a friend of mines TA team. He is one of the best players in TA and he only plays with other good players. He PMd me after and said we were their 29th consecutive TA win, and we still got 3 kills. All melee or not, I wouldnt call it a POS team. Everyone stayed together and stayed on target. Keeping your team alive is a lot easier when they know how to play smart. Thanks for the run!
