  • Every time I hear this song, I feel good

  • You know a band is fucking awesome when all the members can sing, write amazing songs, and play different instruments...

  • the drummer of a legendary band hitting the notes that every metal band frontman wishes he could on stage....;-)

  • @underhillwest that's just falsetto. anyone can hit those notes that way.

  • brian looks pissed because freddie stole his song...

  • @chizzlification He didn't stole his song,he sang it.

  • wooo Roger : mind-blowing high-pitched vocals!!

  • Yay!!!!You post that the day of my birthday!!!!!!!!!LOL.Thanks then.

  • oh yes ROGER!!!!

  • Freddie sings this song well, but Brian wrote the song and sings the studio version. I think he should be the one singing it. I have a grudge that Freddie demanded to sing it, considering he is the lead vocalist. I'm not complaining or anything, but it is a little messed up.

  • @americangirl1325 It just shows Brian was a nice guy... I think his voice suits the song better than Freddie's, but notice that Freddie doesn't get too flowery with it, it is a folk song after all. I was amazed to find such a song by Queen, but it's one of my favorites. And oh, yeah... Roger! Wasn't he the cutest lil thing? Kind of like a 6-year-old girl cute, but still...

  • 2:33 - sounds like 'awesome many years have gone' o_O

  • @9tome6 no it doesnt

  • @SuperDominanto It doesn't? Oh, alright.. Looks like it does to me

  • the audio from the 2nd night synchronizes perfectly with the video from the 1st :P

  • @9tome6 They synchronize so well it's scary!

  • What do you mean the bonus tracks from the new A Night at the Opera reissue??

Do you mean this? A Night at the Opera (30th Anniversary Coll. Ed) [CD/DVD Combo

I don't see any extra tracks on this, other than whatever is on the DVD. Please elucidate.

  • @cutis1000 I wouldn't know if it's on the CD, but this is a bonus track on iTunes.

  • @cutis1000 The 2011 re-releases that they just finish putting out, each studio album come remastered with a bonus disk of demos, live cuts, outtakes, and remixes.

  • I do agree that pitch-correction can take the life out of recordings--but if you simply adjust a few notes here and there (and don't over-do the effect), it won't sound too bad.

All the available Earls Court stuff is from the first night--this audio is from the second night!

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs well greg, i contacted Amber, Stephen and Ollie, Amber and stephen said they'd join, ollie and chris may join, i was just going to ask if you can get TSS, if that is possible. he doesnt have to record as i'll take care of that. the review will be next friday...

  • I'll ask him!

  • Agree, if Live Killers sounded like this? Amazing!

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs agreed. also, this is unrelated, but i am going to do a queen album review/debate in sections, and i'm asking if you want to join i need at least 3 people besides me. i'll start by doing Queen-A Night At The Opera. respond if you want.

  • @SuperDiamondDogs thanks for the invite. gregsynthbootlegs and i have already done things like this in the past but we debate their live tours

  • No problem! I'll join!

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs thanks, can you see if TSS and/or Chris and stephen can participate? it may be next week... plan on it being around an hour, just it will be a 1-10 system and opinions on songs, and whatever you want...

  • If there is really some autotune added to old live recordings, then this is absolutely atrocious!!! This is Queen for god's sake, not Lady Gaga. Old Queen music is art, not just popular music IMO. You wouldn't put autotune on a performance of a classical aria by Verdi, would you? Saw a recent Paul McCartney show on the telly, where his entire performance was heavy autotuned (he obviously had a bad night), and he sounded like a robot. Autotune takes away character and nuances from the voice.

  • @Sophrosyne31

There's no autotune on anything Queen's done--I don't know why people say that. If Autotune WAS done--you'd hear some artificial "robot" nuances on the areas, and the vibrato on the voice would sound weird. At most, they may pitch-correct off notes (NOT by using Autotune, but by using protools--to avoid the "fake" sound), and may take performances from other shows, and put them in place of the errors (AKA Rock Montreal).

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs OK, the word "Autotune" can be used a bit too frequently.By "autotune" I meant all kinds of pitch-correcting nonsense used by producers and record companys these days. Even pitch-correcting notes is just as bad in my opinion. If you sang/played it, then own it for god's sake. Don't "tamper" with the real performance. And YES, you can hear pitch-corrections done in protools also - it might not be as noticeable, but it can definately be noticed!

  • Only if the notes are super off, then you can easily spot where the pro-tools "fixed" spots are. If it's only like 50 cents flat/sharp, you can't even tell if there's work done. I worked at this studio in New York, and I was comparing Autotune vs Protools when putting them on my vocal tracks. Both programs fixed my pitch--but the autotune left it sounding artificial-sounding, while there was nothing noticeable while simply using pro-tools pitch correction (I ended up simply leaving mistakes in).

  • roger HIGH NOTES!!!! i love him

  • 2:15 burp:)

  • Fantastic !!

  • Best qualitie ever <3 <3 <3

  • This is how it sounded on the night, excellent.

  • Let's hear it for Special Relativity!

  • second night was way better

  • there's no autotune guys

  • anyone else bummed that auto tune is very audible here

  • @sokerplair what are you talking about? I hear no signs of autotune what's so ever

  • @thebiggestqueenfan 1:34 slightly and also around 3:01 its very slightly but its there... it really wasn't needed so i dont know y they did it

  • @sokerplair actually some times it is needed. If you listen to the first night's version of the song, Freddie is slightly off key and he probably for was this one too so they just touched it up a little bit and made it sound better. If they one day release Hyde Park I sure hope it gets the same treatment as it definitely needs it!

  • @thebiggestqueenfan you have got a point.. speaking of hyde park.. YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY also has a bit of auto tune but ya you are right... thanks for the cool videos!

  • @sokerplair oh i actually didn't notice. but whatever they did, it sounded very good and if they could do that to the rest of the songs we'd be in for a great release!

  • @thebiggestqueenfan You take my breath away doesn´t has Autotune! if you hear the audience recording he sound right and equal in both...

  • @sokerplair Hey dumbfuck there was no autotune in 1977.

  • @Ikeisbo whoa really? name calling??? just because autotune wasn't invented then doesn't mean they couldn't have done it now when they were mixing it......

  • Comment removed

  • @Ikeisbo its good i know which is why i said that y did they do it to this track ... it didnt need it........ just like mccartneys Shea Stadium concert.. the whole thing is filled with auto tune.... its not really noticeable on this track but its there even the guy who uploaded this video agreed with me....

  • @sokerplair oh ok srry bro i get ur point.

  • @Ikeisbo He filmed himself?

  • @Ikeisbo

    Dumbest-comment-in-the-topic-award, no contest.

  • @Goldfishclown i agree hahaha but i think he was joking.

  • @Goldfishclown Dude haha you dont know the conversation.

  • They actually had talent.

  • Was there any other songs recored this night?

  • @Ikeisbo the complete concert was filmed in good video and audio quality but we've only seen a few songs from it.

  • The quality and his voice is BEYOND better than the first night. What do you think thebiggestqueenfan.

  • @Ikeisbo totally agree!

  • Sir Freddie Mercury...................

  • Roger Taylor in Luke Skywalker garments.

  • @Jaredhalterman Doesnt get much better lol

  • Have they dubbed the 2nd night audio over the top of the first night film? Roger had a slight problem from 1.36 on the first night?? Great sound tho!!!

  • @fitnessisgood4u duh. I wish i had the footage from the second night though

  • @thebiggestqueenfan Sorry ,mate, didn't read the description. This is fantastic, by the way!!!

  • a little bit ugly Freddie

  • @TheQueenviva Never heard ugly and Freddie in the same sentence...and what are u saying?

  • Freddie wasn't ugly--he was quite a handsome guy!

  • Beautiful beautiful sounds

  • Check out the description for this concert on my channel!

  • Cheers to Queen and their king Sir Mercury.

  • Sir Freddie Mercury

  • Fantastic! Beautiful version!

  • And at Earls court in 1974 for the Queen II tour. Great days.

  • @randycornhole

Dude. This was 1977 for the A Day at the Races Tour.

  • I was there. Honest!!

  • So they have both nights.... bastardsssss

  • I'd have given my teeth to have witnessed this. Queen were at their peak IMO during this time.

    DVD release time - surely..?

  • una joyita!!!

  • Thanks for posting! The aahh-ahhh-ahhh part is amazing:)

  • i already got the new Queen II and A Day At The Races, but i want a night at the opera to!!! i need it so bad!!!

    the bonus is great!!

  • Awesome, can't wait to get my re-issues!! :-D

  • Come on!! Release both nights!!

  • @FRE1991DDIE YES

  • @FRE1991DDIE YES

  • @FRE1991DDIE Hopefully for The Diamond Jubilee, Feb. 2012 o/

  • When we go to see the full video of the second night?

  • @MsMamapapa Hopefully soon I hope.

  • Apparently freddie's voice is not so bad!

  • @MsMamapapa No it sounds really good. What made you think it was going to be bad?

  • @thebiggestqueenfan Why is the last show of the tour, I Thought Would Be Freddie's voice a little weak!

Would be good that you can hear the version of Bohemian Rhapsody!

  • @MsMamapapa Yeah I wanna hear the whole thing badly. But it's hard to tell his shape because this song only uses his lower and middle register. He even sang this song well during the Live Killers tour when his voice was in poor shape.

  • @thebiggestqueenfan "But My Love This CANNOT BE" there he sang in high register (in some Crazy Tour gigs) Anyway i don´t like too much play battleship with freddie´s voice...

  • @MsMamapapa Why is the last show of the tour, I Thought Would Be Freddie's voice a little weak!

Would be good that you can hear the version of Bohemian Rhapsody!

  • This is great!

  • @MsMamapapa I love it!!!

  • The sound quality is amazing, thanks for posting it

  • @MercuryForever I agree!!! You're always welcome!!!
