  • Is there a Flower hood for this lens?

  • Nope. Nikon HN-2 barrel hood is designed specifically for this lens only.

  • do you recommend this for being my first wide angle lens? my cam is d5000 :D

  • We have no idea and you shouldn't be asking the others to decide for you. Your investment and decision are entirely up to you. So, rent it out to see and decide for yourself.

  • what size filter do i need? 52mm or a 72mm?

  • 52mm filters.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 thank you ;]

  • Is the AF version very different from this D version? I have the AF one and it is not sharp even stopped down. I also noticed that mine has a smaller front element than the AF-D.

  • The only differences are: "D" variation can send distance information for use with iTTL flash and has an extra group / element while non-"D" variation does not. We are not sure about the sharpness because we never tried, sorry. Try checking by watching our Proper Lens Sharpness Test video series to check.

  • can anyone tell me how wide a 28mm is?

  • 28mm on a film or FX digital SLR = 74º

    28mm on a DX digital SLR = 52.5º (narrower)

  • I just bought Nikon 28mm ƒ/2.8D AF for my nikon D60 camera...u know where that lock part is.. with those numbers near there 22 16 11 8 5.4 4 2.8 so i cant move those..it only works on largest number (22) um....other numbers dont work on D60?? Im just trying to learn how to work with this new lens

  • Any lenses with a lock on the aperture ring operates normally when you set the lens' aperture to the lowest aperture (F/22 on this lens) where the aperture blades closes down, allowing the camera to be in charge to open it to any size for any specific aperture.

Leave the lens locked at F/22 and use the D60 to adjust the aperture by pushing down the aperture button then scroll the wheel in manual mode (M) or scroll the wheel in aperture priority mode (A). The D60 works automatically in P and S.

  • it's been awhile. thank u!
