Hi Everyone, This song reminds me of an old love that I almost married years ago. It is truly a weakness. The feeling never die they just go hide. If he reads this he will know that I am refering to him.
Stevie Wonder worked on this whole album also? I know he did Jungle Fever SDTK.....Stevie is amazing that is why he is one of my favorite singers. I'm glad my dad played his music around the house when I was a kid.
How could I forget about this piece of magic! I was like Dolphinbuc and also had a crush on this girl, well girls, and one knows she had me wrapped around her little finger and the other, well she was too fly(did I just say fly)lol! Peace and this is what slowjams sound and feel like!
Stevie just defies description. It's hard to believe that what he's done & what he continues to do is still considered "music" - his gift is on too grand a scale to be catagorized that easily. He's been doing this since adolescence; so many people from all over have grown up raised on what he has blessed us with and still we thrive on his sounds from over the decades. I can only pray that we can always appreciate this brother and for those who don't know - listen & learn. Peace, peoples
must admit to not being the biggest dionne warwick fan...but, she did a great job with stevie on this one...one of my all time favorites....no doubt..
this is the last time I will listen 2 this song it brings tears 2 my eyes it makes me think of my mom who past awayyrs ago RIP MOM I LOVE U. stevie wonder was her favorite singer
wow i saw the movie woman in red yesterday an thats when i heards ths song 4 the 1st time n yrs this is 1 of those songs that tugs at ur heart and if u have really bn in love it makes u think about that person
Eventhough this is just a regular ordinary song, it really does have lots of valuable meaning to it realistically, with it's message of the chorous. Unfortunately, mankind is fallable in life, & every single human on this planet has a weaknessess big or small on different things. But eventhough we do, we can defeat them & grow strong in those areas of weaknessess! It's just about having strong will power!
I was a teenager when this came out! I used to dream about this chick that I would eventually attend high school with. She was smart enough to stay away from me.Love this song. For you artists today..pay attention.
Love this soundtrack and movie. I saw it on HBO (or ON/Select TV) I was a teen in the 80s and remember it was a good time. Everyone was proud to say they were American in those days. Everything made, came out of or produced in the USA was the best. I miss those days.
Thank God, I can smile now when listening to this song, I know (Red) you can feel my smile. Can you imagine the smile I have on my face as I listen to this song? Gee, it's true time is a great healer...
Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, I remember when the picture "The Woman in Red" first came out and I went to see it at the theater; the song "Weakness" is the one song I fixated on "Everyone has got a little weakness inside" yeah, so true. That song was my anthem for a certain someone in my life at the time and Boy O' Boy does this song bring back memories, some good, some bad...
DAMN Stevie put some stank on this song man:-) "The Woman In Red" just came on the FLIX network channel and I forgot hoe funny Gene Wilder was/is. I turned the movie on right when the movie was playing this song and the showed The Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Forgot how good the movie and how great the soundtrack is.
Dionne & Stevie set off SPARKS with this under-appreciated, "Diamond" of a duet! This is simply a truly great song, (Can any OTHER music be expected from the mind of Stevie Wonder?), and I'm proud to still possess a copy of the 12 inch vinyl version of "The Woman In Red" soundtrack. It's music like this that makes "Old School" look damn good!
I really love this song from Woman In Red. Stevie Wonder and Dionne Warwick did a fantastic job with this song.I loved the film and I was only 4 yrs old when the film was released reminds me of my chidhood as well as the good old 80's.
Like Deebar and jevonk, I'm looking for a weakness but I've been in love before. I know how that feels. Learn to love god and yourself and everything else will come in time. Peace!
I was only like 3 yrs old when this film/sdtk was released. I would like to thank my mother for exposing me to this. To this day I own both film and sdtk. And my 2 year old is getting exposed to it. Keep Great Music Alive!

I absolutely love this beautiful melody! - The best song they ever did together. This song brings back childhood memories for me in my home. My mom cherished this song. Good to have it in my life again!
@camcandy79 totally agree my grandparents had this record and i listened to it everyday word for word i still remember it so glad he put this and i was like born in 1991

stevie is also my weakness. I have been looking for a live version of weakness all day.
@SpaceFetus I agree this music is more nostalgic to those of us who listened to it in the 80s then it is a lesson for younger generations, and yes this musical genius is also one of my weaknesses. So much so that I"ll probably play this 4 or 5 more times before I move on to the next song...
Thank you, so much for this song! I loved the movie Woman in Red and the soundtrack is fabulous, because I love STEVIE! So appreciative of timeless music.
Not quite a rock ballad lol.this has so much meaning and if a lot of poeple heard this kind of music the world would be a better place to live in for it.thanks for the awseome posts!

Stevie Wonder, is ans American treasure!
If you have issues of any kind as far as what that means, take the time to go through his amazing volumeof work, and let it speak to you for itself!
This is a man, who was truly gifted by God, to be a musician/singer/songwriter/performer!
I am glad that I have lived during his time here on this earth!
