you know, just because canada is not a 3rd world country, doens't mean there isn't any hunger and suffering. Go ask the natives, they will tell you a different story.
If you are that concerned about hunger in Africa, perhaps you should have donated your $4500 to an aid agency instead of buying a luxury camera that does the same job as a $500 camera.
Not that it's any of your business, but I have 'donated' to Africa & Haiti. I was just trying to make a point that these camera are over priced but they do take amazing pictures. I have since moved on to the M9. And if you think this camera 'does the same job as a $500 camera' you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
I'm glad you've moved on to an M9, congratulations. My point is that your slideshow does nothing to help anyone, so it's asinine to dedicate a slideshow of Vancouver, taken with a luxury camera, to starving people in Africa.
A more appropriate slide show would be of donation locations, or flying to Africa and taking pictures of the poverty there.
And if you can't take a good picture with a $500 camera, a $7000 camera isn't going help you much.
Seriously, wtf is your problem? What is it you don't get? The idea is simply a reminder to 'us' wealthier folks to be grateful to live in a place like Vancouver. And let's remember that there are many who are not so fortunate! Africa is a more complicated issue than just throwing money at it, btw. So now, get a life!
@Wozza604 actually i didn't read the description where he wrote about the hunger and suffering in africa. I hereby withdraw my previous opinion on your comments.
We're finally getting some sunny weather here in Scotland, so out I go with my 'advanced' compact camera... and then I see what the Leica M8 can do. The tonal reproduction is astonishing, even with YouTube's compression algorithms.
You're pretty funny... I have to agree with you, this isn't one of my better shows, but the colors are rich, some composition & most are in focus. Did i say 'Shitty'? If I did that wasn't very nice.
Glad to see you are still interested in my work. The new stuff can be seen here;

@Wozza604
honesty, wtf is wrong with you
everyone do have their own interest
and they can buy whatever they want to buy
does that matter about skills or anything?
do you have to be a world champion when you play a sport?
besides these people worked and they paid for the money of the camera
that's the opportunity cost you mother fucker
dude, get a life, don't fucking get jealous or trying to use some kind of excuse about donating money to make people feeling guilty
