If it's like diablo 1 and 2, the companion is useful at the start but higher difficulties and acts i think he'll die alot especially against named mobs, ranged ones to be more precise. Or those 'Oh shit' moment where you encounter more than 1 named mobs at once. Love those...

@vaju79 its a beta, and the difficulty was on "normal". You can play it on hardcore with no revive: Dead = Dead.

So it will be hard enough ;)

@eminescinescu You have to make a battlenet account, register one or more of blizzards games using the CD keys associated with them. THEN, you need to run the utility (found on your battlenet acct) that records the specs of your PC and choose to opt-in to the D3 beta. Your chances of getting in are completely random and quite frankly very low.

Actually Ahnaris Rockets are added to skills by certain Runes in skills. I believe Multishot, Strafe and the Sentry can fire rockets when you put a specific skill rune in them, it's not your normal attack.

I'm still quite excited about the game and I do greatly appreciate the overview and these videos of yours sir, but I'm a little disappointed. I'm just not seeing much innovation here... Most, if not all, the "new" things seem copy pasted from other games.

That's not to say that they're not all right additions. It's just that in 10 years I expected more from them rather than direct duplication of others', including their own, mechanics.

Only 5 abilities can be used at a given time? So when I realise in the middle of the fight that I need to use another one, I will have to open the spell book, search for it, drop it on the hotkey bar and activate it while the fight is going on? That sucks, why not use nice big hotkey bars like in WoW?

@Silentbreez1 This is to encourage a character play style that suits you well. The thought is that all spells are equally effective for just about any situation. Thus, if you *want* to constantly swap out skills, you can, but I'd rather find a nice mix of spells that I like and fits a playing schemata (i.e. crowd control, 1v1, jack of all trades). And probably because they want to distinguish Diablo from WoW. Why criticize if you haven't played it? It might not be as bad as you imagine.

Passive Ability: Ballistics - Damage From rockets are increased by 100%

"Rockets are fiered from certain socketed skill effects".

Rockets ARE NOT ARROWS. It is as it says, rockets are effects from socketing skills. There are 5 different runes/gems that you can find in the world and you enhance your Abilitys with them witch increases the effects of that skill depending on what Gem you use like more damage, range or as in most DH skills adds rockets that will seek out random targets.
