I read a bunch of old texts in physics, and often the wording is very confusing initially. But most of the time, I realize that although initially confusing, the statements are usually incredibly precise and informative. It just takes a while to get used to it. I have no idea if this was the case here, because I have no idea of economics.
So you are beginning to understand that Keynes was as idiot. He wrote overly confusing crap to make his ideas seem more sophisticated than they really where. All he was saying is what is good for rich people is justified by the employment they supposedly create. It's just trickle down economics.
@beechgrovejoe Don't tell anyone...but I've actually already read through the book. I didn't stop to ponder too many of the mysteries, but overall I was left with a profound feeling of underwhelment.
Couldn't the last point have meant increase in the value of their wage to the company or something? I need to look for more clarification of that bit!
He's a good writer if you read the language of economics he wrote in?
Keynes unfortunately didn't write for people and wrote in a way that was laden with terminology as he had no writing skill, in the sense of a creative writer, but a lot of intellectual technical skills of thinking.
@BespokeGroupUK Then that means that he wasn't a good writer, but a good thinker. Which is perfectly fine, I suppose, but people accuse him of being a good writer.
That does sound very confusing

@CobraJones .... erm.... ok....
I guess they can have their point of view and I can have mine.
I reckon that he was a good thinker and i KNOW that I don't know everything about all of the economic "theories" that are out there.
It was a great video though.
