i just got a gc8 frame with a complete sti v7 mechanic with stock 16,5psi of boost and it blows all stock sti because its 300kg lighter. and yes its a lot of work but it really worth the price! very nice sound by the way

13k for mods? I see like 8k tops, but hey who knows. Nice car though! MAZDA MAN, 2.5 rs is for sure my favorite an 2000model your on point. Go with a wrx swap an lets say you can have that rs at $5500 good condition plus $5k for swap and trans your at $10k for a car you will get to know about and be faster than a stock wrx cause of weight, 600lbs lighter i believe (GC8) lota work thought to do a swap,haha.....Later

Yes the Impreza 2.5rs is a great car. I love all Subaru's, When the time is right you can drop in a STI motor and Tranny into the 2.5 body and you'll be golden. :)

Now a days you can purchase a used STI for about 21k, I purchased my 03 in 03 for 21k brand new and I spent around 13k modding (motor, suspension, rims etc)

Nope, depends what you like. When I purchased my WRX, STI's were not available in the states. I would love a STI motor for more power but mine is basically pushing the same #'s as a stock STI. So not a waste of money at all.

05-09 gt's have 300 to the crank, they have a 24valve 4.6 my gt is the 99-04 and it has a 16valve 4.6 and those were rated at 260 i have full bolt ons and i'm making a lil more to the wheels than you, at the track i have raced stock sti's and at the 1320 mark we were bumper to bumper, makes me wish i woulda just bought a subi instead now :(

The STi (stock) uses a BPV (Bypass Valve) which is more than adequate for the boost levels produced by the stock turbo. BOVs can lead to your stock STi running poorly and/or with reduced power output due to running excessively rich. On a stock turbo, their only real use is to make sounds.

300 to a tank my 02 wagon only gets 260ish, if I'm lucky. And I only have full 3" catless exhaust and SPT intake oh and cobb stage 1. I'd say your a lucky SOB to get 300+.

no. downpipe without reflash is a HUGE nono. Doesn't need an accessport to reflash. That's just one tool to do so.
