You know you could just hire Norbert and he sticks around for a long time especially with maxed out leadership. by the way how do you hire Akimi in this game...I know she shows up at a train station but I heard your supposed to call her first And I don't know where you get here number...
You get her number in Drake's Volcano, in the room that has 3 computers you can deck. But like all magicians, she's fragging useless; most of her MP goes to casting the Heal spell on herself.
Fun to hire her once, though.
Norbert sticks for longer, but Frogtongue is tougher; I'm actually going to hire Norbert in my final speedrun and keep him healed up once I've got the Heal spell. This time, though, I was too conservative with the Slap Patch buying.
Money and stats. At that point in the game my liquid cash is 2k nuyen, and because this is a speedrun I don't have the time to go deck for more nuyen unless it's on the way.
Also, you need 4 Charisma to hire a second Shadowrunner, and my leveling plan is way too tight to pay that much.
while I wouldn't MIND hiring both, the time saved wouldn't match the time I waste getting them both.
You need 4 charisma to hire 2? Is that why they sometimes go "I'll join when you have less people"...by the way what exactly does dermal armor and wired reflexes do?
Shadowrunners will leave after a certain number of battles (from the time battle music starts to when it ends counts as one), which varies from 'runner to 'runner (Frogtongue, for instance, stays for a base of 30 battles.)
However, points in the Leadership skill increase the number of battles 'runners stick around by 10% to 12.5%, also varying from 'runner to 'runner. With Leadership maxed out at 6, Frogtongue would stay 48 battles.
If you hire kitsune and kill the rat shaman with her in your party she never leaves but she's so weak there's no point when there are better people for hire...By the way is leaving to another screen in the middle of a fight considered a battle an added to how long they'll stay?

I remember fighting those three hitmen outside the ship on the top floor for hours saving up 30,000nuyen for the...SMP was it? I think the Hand Canon is the 40,000nuyen one.. But yeah, I wanted that 30,000nuyen gun! It's kinda disappointing how much nuyen is near the end and there's nothing to buy!

If I recall..
You need two liquids. One from a purified source and one from a dark source. And then there is another bottle as well if I recall. But anyway!
1. Fountain at the start where you helped a Dog 'escape' (Dog collar).
2. The Changeling octopus girl leaves behind "ink".
3. Kill the Poison ooze and collect Toxic Waste.
That's what you need the bottles for.

you buy them from the Dark Blade shop, I pick them up just before heading into the last building.
