I did mine with a really small pointed calligraphy pen and that works well because the pens are meant to hold some extra ink. I think the process just takes awhile, but I want to know what pencil thing you used because yours seemed much less time consuming.

I've done it with sewing needle some thread and pen ink it works just you have to get right depth in skin to leave the ink in, dab it and wash it hour later it will fade to dark green color in a few months I did two in January and by end of this year the one on my hand is faded
