Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
A lot of Moody Blues songs like this one, I have never heard of before. I'd like to sue my radio station back home for not playing some of their great songs.
@Motuorg I saw them a few times at the Fillmore East and with the light show and special films their sound surpassed their records...it was full bodied high resonant sound you could feel in your bones...jeez...goose bumps with that flash back.
I have been listening to the MB's since Nights In White Satin came out. I think I was fourteen. As the years go by, I appreciate them more so. Their songs make me feel good:) I still have three or four of their albums........pretty neat! Been thinking of putting them in frames and on one of the walls here in the house.
It'll be a sad day when we lose true musicians and musical geniuses like these guys. They truly are a dying bread and I hate to say it, but they may be the last of their kind. We'll never see another revolution in the music industry like we did 30-40 years ago with bands like MB, Floyd, Hendrix, The Who, Led Zep, The Doors, Skynyrd, Beetles, Stones, ect ect. I could go on and on and on for days and days. Truly one of a kind.
Sure miss Ray Thomas - luv the Moody Blues one of my all time favorite groups - they brought my wife Karin & I together - have seen them several times - They are awesome.
We never know who we might bless with our talents. These men did that for me during the hardest times in my life, I grew up with their music. At home and at War. Thank you for taking the time to post their music, You have blessed many for your efforts. Jerbowden
I love the moody Blues. But isn't this song called Timothy Leary? idk. But the Moody Blues are awesome. I have been playing the flute because of this guy! Thank you. Because I have found my passion through music! <3 I love you guys!
This song is actually named "Legend of a Mind". It concerns Timothy O'Leary, and the drug culture, but the song title stands as I mentioned. Sadly, Ray Thomas, lead singer of this song, had to retire from the Moodies about four or five years ago due to being afflicted with Gout. What a fabulous flute player, on a par with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Good on ya, all of the Moodies.
The main body of the song is a little too fast. But, wow, I didn't realize they could almost get funkadelic, as they do in that middle section. Where has their drummer been hiding that funk for 30 years? I could listen to that section go on for another 64 measures.
@PiperShaeBong I also have seen them multiple times. I have seen them with full orchestration, but nothing to compare to Royal Albert Hall show. This has to be one of the best performances ever by any Rock group ( I hesitate to class the Moodies as a rock group, they are true artists and musicians). I have the DVD of this show and am in awe of those in attendance. Wish I could have been their. The experience must have been amazing.
great then&now.mind expansion in 60's .was peace just an illusioni ?guess so.but the young people today are lost.cannot ever post w/out vulgar, hate filled sadness
I do not think peace is an illusion. It is the illusion that covers peace. Not all the young are completely lost but most of us are to one extent or another. :)
I have loved these guys for years, got turned on to them in '92 when I was 12, PBS ran a "Story Of" feature and I will never forget. More recently I have discovered how innovative their first seven albums were (1967-1972), just brilliant! I only heard this song for the first time last week and I can't get enough of it. I kinda wish I could induldge in a doob or two for this stuff, ha ha!
Why would he retire?

I've always wondered why there's an extra drummer. Is it something to do with Graeme Edge not being as up to scratch as he used to be?

The orchestra was always part of "White Satin". When I was a teenager things
were so different. Trying to explain it to the "Hip Hop" generation is a dead
end. They are so not even open to listening to real music and anything that is
positive. Of course..I don't want to put all into the same category. My daughter
is 23 and she managed to bypass the hiphop culture by actually having friends
who participated in Dance, art, and anything fun. I think you call it "childhood".

I'm an old fan, saw them in their first US appearance and few times after.
Sorry, but the orchestra is a bust...takes an ethereal song down to something mediocre and banal.

Great song! Do you have English Sunset and I'm Just A Singer? Those were my favorite performances from this concert
