  • I want to throw a watermellon, or justin beiber in there sooo bad. what ever one is worse, oh wait.

  • Railing is always a good idea.

  • I counted 10 revs in 5 seconds equals 120 RPM.

For 60 Hz makes it a 60 pole machine.

    Great video.

  • This antique equipment puts out at 40 Hz.

  • Interesting old 40 Hz frequency, railways perhaps ? That makes it a 20 pole machine.

This machine was in use in the U.S.A. ??

In my earlier reply I made an error and it should have been 30 poles for 60 Hz

  • When the electrical infrasturcture was young, over 100 years ago, and this power station was designed and built, 60 Hertz had not yet been adopted as a standard. 20 Hertz is good for AC Motors, but makes the lights flicker which you can see. Steinmetz settled on 40 Hertz becase you can't see the lights flicker at that rate, and it's still pretty good for operating motors.

  • That wheel is pulling some rev's

  • Wow, that's fast!

  • nice
