Both cameras have movie mode. You can make movies with or without sound, and you can play them back in the camera. Of course the speaker on the camera isn't going to sound anything like your TV speakers, but you can at least preview the video you take with these cameras.
Hope that helps. If you have more questions, feel free to call an Advisor at 1 800 555 7032.
this is exactly what i was looking for. we ordered the s550 from ebay and my mom has the s210. i wanted a comparison of both and your video helped so much. :)
You should take advantage of the 30 day satisfaction gaurantee at Crutchfield. You have 30 days to make sure you are happy with anyting you buy at Crutchfield, so you could get the camera, take some pics, and if you like them, keep it, if not, send it back or exchange it
We don't email photos, and downloading pics to the web might not give you an accurate representation of what the pics would look like off this camera
The movie quality is pretty good considering it's a small camera designed to take still photos. The quality will be much better than a cell phone camera, and not as good as an actual video camera.
The video recording length depends on the size of memory card you use. The maximum file size is 2GB. With a 2GB card you could record for approximately 55 minutes straight at 320X240.
