Very nice Sound and very nice performance. Check the sound of my set up. Sad piano song for a woman. It is simply Pianoteq 1 controlled by a cheap electric piano. It is possible to get great sound if one adds a couple of simple equalization, reverb effects.
@joeyisfunny I did it using the bounce option on my logic 9 , because I recorded the video at same time as I recorded a track in logic 9 , so then when I imported the video was created with the audio track of the camera, I deleted the audio track and replaced by the pianoteq I recorded, in the option export audio to movie
i think that is a personal choice, I like to play with wooden keys because I broke two 88 keyboards with plastic keys ( motif es8 and p80 both from yamaha manufacture) , if you like to play piano , I have no doubt that you will enjoy the kawai mp8
yes i recorded this track with the logic 8 + my digital camera in the same time , so I openned the video and replaced the poor audio to a high quality bounce from logic 8 I
I've owned a few digital pianos; Korg, Yamaha, Casio, Technics. I've grown tired of the cheap plastic keys on these digital pianos. What mostly bothers me is how after a while the plastic keys on these pianos start to rattle, click n creak. I'd say they are rather minor annoyances but I'm starting to get really picky. I've been thinking of buying the MP8 II do to it's wooden keys but haven't been able to find one to try out localy. How does the feel compared to your average digital piano?
Very nice

Question: Is this recorded directly to the camera/PC, or is this audio being picked up form your stereo/studio speakers??

@wagnerderek Wait, so this is just Pianoteq? Sounds more full than Pianoteq alone does.

Do all of the pianoteq virtuosos (besides Hugh Sung) play in their undershirts ..
I really must try it sometime. :~]
Very nice rendition of .. whatever it was .. kinda reminded me of 80's era TV show themes, ala Hotel, Taxi (not a bad thing at all)
Cheers

GmailUnited 2 years ago
you can play pianoteq like a plug-in in logic... You can play any software-instrument in logic...:)

hi, what are the advandage to use a digital piano like mp8 and a software like pianoteq instead of using a cheaper master keyboard and pianoteq?
Cause my options are to buy a kawai es6 or a master keyboar like yamaha kx8 and pianoteq software, what do you think?

the keys seems to be very loud, is that true?
Nice playing
Pianda 2 years ago
yes! this keyboard has wooden keys
wagnerderek 2 years ago
you probably want to say that the keys THEREFORE are loud in terms of own noise, do you?
thanks for your answer
Your very ripe playing shows perfectly the sound-quality of the piano, which then is no noise :-))

umh i have great doubts : i can buy a kawai es6 for 1200 euros or a cheaper solution , a yamaha kx 8 master keyboard ( with cubase ai4) for 500 euros,
I think that both keyboards have plastic keys.
With yamaha i must add a pianoteq software and good aplification system , so let say 700 euros
have you any suggestion?

HI Can I conect my Kawai es6 directly with a MIDI-USB to the computer ????
Thank you
wkemenes 2 years ago
Yes, you can connect , i think that you have 2 ways to do it
1- connect just a usb cable in your kawai usb port to usb from your computer
2- you can use the midi to usb cable in your midi port( m-audio 1x1) ,
I think the first option better!

if you use it as a masterkeyboard, how many different dynamic curves can it send? only 3 like the roland700gx?
r2d2rx 2 years ago
yes , 3 , but we have more options with pianoteq, custon velocity curve
wagnerderek 2 years ago
from Pianoteq 3 only , the Kawai is just my master keyboard with wooden keys
wagnerderek 2 years ago
Hi,
Is the sound from Pianoteq only, or overlayed with Kawai sound?
