  • Definitely one of my favorite movie scenes ever. I watched this movie when it came out and haven't seen the whole film since then, but i still think about this scene from time to time.

  • lik dis if u cry evertim

  • Manly tears ;__;

  • THIS MOVIE CHANGED MY PERCEPTION OF LIFE, FANTASTIC MOVIE.

  • how di dhe die?

  • @0mgwatchthese starvation

  • @gbboi

go and fuck off, you don't have life. Get a life

  • dying 20 miles away from the road is not exactly something heroic or "WILD"

  • @gbboi You´re idiot.

Live 110 days in the wild, anywhere, without any help or fucking buyed food and than TALK ABOUT THIS.

  • @gbboi what the fuck have you done with your life?

  • @gbboi His point wasn't about being heroic or wild, it was about living for yourself, setting yourself apart from a society and being truly free. He may have died young, but for the last few years of his life he lived everyday like there was no tomorrow - how many people can say they've done something like that?

  • And I cried my eyes out AGAIN...

    This is a master-piece!

Yeah, it's my favorite movie, by far... this scene is just more brilliant!

I wish you could let the beautiful Eddie Vedder's song play.

  • happiness only real when shared

  • HAPPINESS ONLY REAL WHEN SHARED

  • Its sad that he died that way.. he had a great experience though just to bad he died.

  • I read somewhere that in life you necessarily don' have to be strong but to feel strong, to measure yourself at least once.

    -Chris McCandless-

Looks like he measured himself, he lived the life he wanted and now he can always live in heaven.

  • so tragic. maybe people think hes stupid. maybe he made mistakes. but this story is just. SAD. Its tragic. To suffer....to die....its just sad. Theres nothing good that I can take out of it. Its just watching someone fade.

  • @gopkatherine He was happy with the way his life turned out. Yes, he died, but he said he had lived a happy life. I don't think he regretted his decision to leave it all behind.

  • but, the question is still there, and, who, or, what is it shared with? and, how is it shared? is this physical? and how is this shared, this "happiness"? and defined by what? is it that he felt alone really? because there were no people? or was it that people didn't know, at least a version, of what he learned. Lastly, that last part of his life there. is a long life in time, or is it in whats experienced, whats learned, simply, whats lived. alive in every moment for 1 or dead in every for 80

  • @Swansen03 Trying to get thumbs up?

  • @TheRitchardgaleHater ?? trying to get a thumbs up? what, because you think i am looking for notoriety? fame? because i want all of youtube to "follow me" ?? or "subscribe"? could care less. and, listen, i'm not attacking you, i'm not attacking your person, but, what is it you are asking? i mean really, did you read what was written? if five people read that comment, and it made them think, and stopped and wondered for a minute, then i've accomplished all i wanted

  • sad

  • " I Have Had A Happy Life And Thank The Lord, Goodbye And May God Bless All ! " - Christopher Johnson Mccandless =(

  • watch this video while listening to "Dear Agony" by Breaking Benjamin. Perfect fit.

  • @Zenosin3D no... no it doesn't

  • @FProductions lol... yes yes it is. the overall basis of what the song is about and what is going on is a good fit. the way the song plays and the timing is off yess but im not gona go and actually make that haha. the lyrics fit well with what is going on. i even did project with dear agony and this scene for english last semester.

  • @Zenosin3D well... you're wrong.

  • @FProductions well clearly you know nothing about the deeper understanding of music and linking music to a video haha

  • "what if i were smiling and running into your arms?? Would you see then what i see now?" That says sooo much. I can only imagine what he was seeing. He truly discovered the Meaning of Happiness; that's it's only complete when shared.

  • happiness is only real when is shared . so true

  • song?

  • @guruowner Hard Sun by Eddie Vedder (I think...)

  • the part where he smiles when he dies. It's an unexplained happiness, it makes me feel, sadly happy ;_D

  • I cried when he died. I cried even more when I learned this is based off of a true story. :'(

  • "..each thing by it's right name.."

    -doctor zhivago

    RIP Chris Mccandless

  • thats wen i cried

  • not really a spoiler, though, you learn he's going to die from the beginning

  • cool mate

  • @GDZ640 How so? I didn't see any conclusive evidence that he was going to die. What are you referring to?

  • @GDZ640

Sorry for late reply, but when do you learn this in the beginning of the movie? I just finished watching it not even 5 minutes ago, and after reading your comment, went back to see if it was true.

I can't find any evidence in the beginning telling that he's going to die.

  • @FreeGamesEverywhere there's no evidence. but some movies have that obvious feeling of it. this aint no movie with a happy ending.

  • @GDZ640 I don't think you do learn that, granted a lot of people probably knew it or had a good idea.

  • @GDZ640 also if you read the book you already know it

  • Killing scene. Happiness is only real when SHARED. Its truth. Even Chirstopher agreed to it . Despite all the Happiness he explored its painfully accepted truth in the END.

  • a real moving scene

  • first
