  • Great video Mike! Thanks.

  • The GTxxx add GTxxxS and GTxxxR use the same engines,

ex, the GV250, GT250,GT250S and the GT250R have the same engine in them.

The 125/250 are similar. the 650 is not the same.engine

  • The GV250 and the GT 250 are the same engines, the GV125 and the GT 125 are the same engines but smaller that the 250 engine, some parts interchange. The 650 is a different engine.

Note Brakes and some frame stuff is the same on the GT bikes.

  • thank you so much. just wondering, would this be the same if i have a gt250 R? just different places maybe?

  • thanks so much for that- great help. Takes weeks to get into the mechanic up here and nice to see how it all works

  • why doesn't my gv250 sound that fat?

  • thanks for advice. fuck paying for service ill do it myself now. cheers

DONT BE A PUSSY BUST A WHEELIE

  • G'day seais , budd, just watched your video on service's on the gv 250 , even though we might be on the other side of the world here ,,, in " land down under " .gr8 vid for those like my self just purchasing one ,,, learnt .. hope to see more of ur vid's like this one in the near future ... good 2c blokes like ur self taking time out to show people how to do thing like that ... good work .... be in touch ,

cheers .. " big ang" (australia)

  • Dude, you look like Lee Marvin. Thanks for the in-service.

  • castrol gtx is a poison to the engine ...

  • Hi mate,

thankyou for taking the time to make this video. i appreciate the assistance.

    Shiny side up!

  • I'm considering buying a GV250 new, for the first few servies (or any for that matter) - apart from oil, oil filter (bleed brakes?), what else is checked/replaced?

Also, are there any known problems with the bike or have you had any? I'm finding it hard to find concrete evidence of unreliability - it seems to be heresay, perhaps it's in reference to older model Hyosungs.

  • This also is the same procedure for a GT250

add that to the tag. Help some more people looking for help when they need to know how to change the oil.

On another note, do you know how to change the filter that is supposedly at the bottom of the motorcycle? It's basically where the oil plug is. If so, make a video including that. Thanks!

  • Hey Thanks a lot. Im gonna buy one soon. I will write you if I have any doubt. THANKS A LOT...

  • Mike, just wanted to thank you for the vid. I just did my first ever oil change, and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was, filter and all. Next time: spark plugs, air filter and chain tension. Thanks a ton for your helpful videos - great servie to the motorcycling community :) (wouldn't have attempted it without your help). Cheers!

  • i fixed it . . . the two screens inside the carb were plugged up with dirt, and of course, i cleaned the carbs while i had them out.

take off the plastic air chamber.

o-rings inside make reassembly a snap.

the plastic air chamber should be reinstalled on top of the carbs FIRST, for ease of reinstallation.

  • thanks seaies for the vid....GV250 is my first bike and will do this service next month , so I do not have to read any manuals :)) thx

  • hi mike, nice to see the work you doing for hyosung, have you got around to doing the 4 pot brake video yet mate, as i want to fit some to mine, and would like to see the style of bracket you have fabricated, also are they tokico calipers of a sv650 you are using???

  • The Early GV125/250

used an electric fuel pump [two hose],

newer GV125/250 use a vacuum fuel pump [three hose]

Ride safe Mike on the Rock [seaies]

  • my gv250 had a fuel leak that i fixed, now it seems i can't get fuel in the carb-won't start.fuel filter, hoses replaced and i can see thru filter and it is full.also pump clikced, then stopped, telling me its primed.

their are two hoses that connect into one from the 'chain side' of carb. it looks like this hose used to connect to something, but i can,t see where. any idea ?

  • Thank you , please send some more video.

  • I will be installing Suzuki 4 piston brakes this weekend I hope and will try to do a video.

  • Great vid, could you please do one on replacing the spark plugs, they are hard to get to...Ta..Muzza

  • Great vid, I have owned two of these and I always pull the drain cover off and check the screen above at least every other oil change, also Mobile 1 v_Twin oil of 4 is great for these hard working bikes, swapted one of my 250 for a UM 650 v2c and I love It also.

  • buglerbear,

i have just told seaies of my carb problem..figured i'd ask you since you owned 2 gv250s. cant figure out where that hose connects. there are two sets of hoses comming from 'chain side' of carb. the smaller set, go to the ground as run off,the bigger set of hoses look like they connect to a nipple somewhere.

any advice from any on might help.

  • There are only 2 hose con per carb the small purge and larger fuel. If you replaced all hoses I am guessing you mixed up some piping to the fuel pump. It has 3 ports, the in port marked with an arrow and this one connects to the fuel filter, the "P" port which is in the center this connects to the inpulse hose that goes to the motor case (not the carbs) and finnaly the output not marked on most pumps but the right most port this is the one that should connect to both carbs by way of a tee.

  • thanks b bear- i've got an after market pump,

with only 2 ports. i bought the bike used. its a 2001.

  • The upper hoses is vent hoses

    Ride safe

    Mike on the Rock

  • thanks- i checked into new pumps to find out i have the correct pump for my year of bike.
