  • just bought one...WOW...Love it ! Turbo six-speed manual for maximum MPG.

Tried the Ford Fiesta , and was horrified at the build quality.

Steel wheels with plastic covers , wires dangling from inside trunk lid , six-speed powerturd trans (fake DSG) complicated controls.

For same money , I got Turbo/Manual better wheels , better attention to details , cool dash with nicely placed controls. Easy to use wheel mounted cruise , BT , audio controls. iPod/USB hook up compartment on dash is genious.

  • Good job copying the Mitsubishi Colt fuckers.

  • Okay, I feel so dumb for asking this but what is the difference between 1LS, 2LS,1LT, 2LT, 1LZ & 2LZ ? Sorry I'm a fifteen year old girl wouldn't know much about cars, but this car looks so cool!

  • @mrsemosykes2255 They are trim levels.

  • I really like the design. I'm just concerned about Chevy's reliability. Nothing to do with it being American. Ford stepped up their game. GM, we'll just have to see.

  • i like the black one with orange rims in the background....

  • I would get the sedan version but this hatchback looks ugly!

  • @btz2005 I agree, the hatchback doesn't look good, the sedan is nice.

  • @btz2005 helll NAAA giirl...

  • @SuperchargedSean

    giirl? haha

but really hatches are not very sporty, 3 door ones suck worse

  • @btz2005 you dont remember a time when there was a bunch of aftermarket tuned gti's? those were hawt!

  • @SuperchargedSean

yeahh..no! 2 door would be nicer

  • @btz2005 meh

  • 1.4 liter turbo and a 6 speed manual tranny = win

  • @BlackUp77 yeah actually should have good performance and plenty of torque.

  • boring model and design, it almost looks like a nissan versa hatchback.. why would chevy come out with this?? they're way better than this -_- smh

  • This is def better than the Fiesta.

  • Korean Designer for Chevy again? lol

  • @kalargyi He did a good job chill lol.

  • You're right, gtilover, I was confused by their Chevy DNA. The Sonic is OK but I wish we'd get the Spark, it's really sharp looking. I like the Fiesta too, and it's pretty much the european version I think, not the Indian market " Fiesta Classic" (nice but conservative). And we're starting to get the Fiat 500. Maybe you know... Is the Mazda 2 sold here related to the Ford Figo?

  • I'll take the Fiesta

  • It's great. It's also available right now in India as the Chevy Beat. It has a 1.2L there and they are looking forward to a 3 cyl Fiat sourced diesel soon. "That oughta get good mileage". Check out CarDekho to see what we should already be driving.

  • @sammolloy1 The Chevy Beat is our equivalence of the Chevy Spark her in U.S.A. though.

  • Because it is Aveo. I don't know why it is called Sonic in USA. This will be the third Aveo in history.

  • I Likey

  • A visual improvement - but why does it keep the BORING name "Aveo" in Europe?

  • That name is stupid.

  • Yuck.

  • Why are we still making regular gasoline cars?

  • @heartlessvietboy 35-40 MPG and electric cars are still quite expensive.

  • You mean hybrids?

  • @heartlessvietboy You asked "Why are we still making regular gasoline cars?" Hybrids are gas. No I was not talking about hybrids. I was talking about electric cars.

  • I said regular gasoline cars. Not Gasoline and electric.

  • @heartlessvietboy Because you cant go very far on electric, yet.

  • Yes you can. The Tesla Roadster and Model S can go 200 miles on a single charge. Not only that, you are able to charge your car in less than 30 minutes using rapid charging technology.

  • @heartlessvietboy and who wants and can afford a car that is $100k+?? median on the Sonic is $17K. The Sonic is more family friendly than a Tesla, more specifically in the pocket. Think about that before you start throwing a Tesla in the mix with GM and their cheaper vehicles.

  • The Model S will be $55K. The Nissan Leaf is $25K.

  • needs SS version with Turbo cobalt motor, other than that, kinda neat for a small car.

  • well, we all know that American car design is aweful but doesn't this car look A LOT like the Mitsu lancer and the VW Scricco? A LOT!

  • Cool, but I think that the Chevy emblem should have been placed on the grill. It looks a little misplaced. And the headlights look like Mitsubishi's. The rear like a civic.

The only think that make me think "it's a chevy" is the emblem, which is misplaced.

just an 18 year old's opinion.

  • Looks WAY better than the Aveo both inside & out!

  • Not Ford Focus. This is the Competitor of the Fiesta. It's supposedly going to have a 1.4L turbo. Somewhere around 145-150 horsepower. That's about what Fiesta will have in the RS model.

  • Make an awd rally version of a car like this to compete with the 2012 Ford focus

  • its ugly

  • @ChevyCamaroZ282012 I'm with you. ;)

Sorry chevy but not to worry...there's always the "ugly people" segment that you can sell ugly products to. gahaha ;D

  • Allen kim good job on the design of the car looks ten times better than that aveo and please make a 3 door version with the 1.4 turbo and call it the rs like the concept.

  • i want it now

  • That still does look like half Lancer, half Barina Spark...

  • Still looks like the Chevy Aveo.

  • Comment removed

  • whoever shot that video needs to be fired, talk about motion sickness

  • Love the front of the car, but not a fan of the shape of the whole compact stuffs. Like the back of the car not a fan, but all in all it looks like a fun car to drive.

  • @chikmaginet95 theres a sedan version =D

  • Kia looking...

  • Ooooo Aveo 2.0.
