  • By Calhoun

  • ho no your sobw@y!! :3

  • ho no your sobway!!

  • I grew up in the Twin Cities... mainly in the northern and western Metro. That's the area that got hit really hard. I lived in Hopkins, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Crystal, New Hope, Plymouth, Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center.

  • this is by webber park

  • How'd you get internet? And is that Webber?

  • OMG I I NEVER KNEW

  • @BikerBry---what a fucked up thing to say... seriously.. such stereotyping.. there were families and children and elderly people who were affected by this tornado.. simple minded people i tell ya.. yall are the ones who need to be taken out.

  • @MexicaNative86 "yall are the ones who need to be taken out"... Thanks for making my point for me. You said more than enough.

  • North Minneapolis... Probably took out a bunch of crack and meth houses!

  • that storm was crazy and having to keep a 6 yr old calm during it was not easy

  • I helped get trees out of the way of doors. :))) It felt good to take a chainsaw to them! PEace and Love.

  • @DivineGodBAllah thNK YOU

  • @612Dank - You are very much welcome.

  • Heavy stuff, isn't it. You are fortunate that your neighborhood was spared the worst of the destruction. I don't know if it's a comfort to hear that, but a lot of people didn't have homes to return to after the storm. Even if they did, there was so much debris piled in the roads & sidewalks some homes were nearly impossible to reach. Glad you're ok, and keep documenting this historic event!

  • @dcs002 i will im posting a part 2

    :)

  • @jcn36 I'm glad to hear it! I think it would be even better if you do up a whole multi-part series that documents not only the damage, but the rebuilding as well.

By documenting and sharing this, you are actually contributing to the recovery of your neighborhood. You are expressing their pain and loss in video to a wider audience, you are inspiring some who might become interested in meteorology, and you are telling the world that this is your neighborhood, and you care about what happened.

  • @dcs002 sounds like you were in the worst i ran from 26th / penn and broadway to 31st.lowry and logan and was horrified .... the north side will never be the same, thank god my daughter/ wife and every body else on logan and all the other streets i saw jumping over and under power lines where okay . that part of north side

  • @612Dank Glad you're ok. I wasn't there during the tornado. Came by later to see if the small school where I work was still standing. (Took a few pics for the principal. Really I just needed to see if it was ok.) School and students are all fine, though some have badly damaged homes. The North Side will rebuild and be all the stronger for it! I lived there for much of my young adulthood, and I really do feel at home there.

  • @dcs002 thank you and it will rebuild i just hope this sense of community will last beyond "we were all in some bad weather together" , STOP THE VIOLENCE

    .Northside stand strong ! .

r.i.p to those who where lost. and everybody in the hood / everybody who lost there homes

  • that i grew up in and was raised in. has always had a bad rep but i was running like i was on fire and every 20 feet somebody yelled out " are you okay" and that was maybe 10 mins after the fact, i will never forget that compassion, the north side really showed

  • its true spirit that day and i will never forget that .... god bless every family that lost their homes that day and thank god the toll, at least the death toll was'nt worse than i thought it was, i ran from 26th and peen to 30th and logan and i thought the worst the whole way ..... PRAISE JAH! and god bless the northside , we will get thru this rebuild and overcome!

  • Holy shit! Hope you guys are all OK God Bless...

  • Thank you very much for showing what happened in that area of Minneapolis. I'm up close to Fargo, ND but I remember coming in that area many times. I hope everyone is okay and I'll keep everyone down there in my thoughts tonight.

  • @LilAngel56529 your welcome =)
