  • @ILuvCaroline

yes, thats what it means, we eat all fresh fruits and vegetables, mostly that we grow ourselves , and seeds

  • This looks like John Koehler's place, of "growing your greens"..is it? I heard you mention, "John" and the house & front yard looks like an earlier version of it. I guess you are no longer with him since this was 2 yrs ago?

  • Aren't you scared of people stealing your hard work?

  • @yatah

most people do not even know what half the stuff is, but if they want some, there is plenty to go around!!!

  • @enovalee I'm down in Houston, used to live up in Sacto though.

Really love that garden, am trying to learn as I grow, started when I got turned on to GYG's.com!! (about 2 months now)

  • @chickenbonewatt

well if you are talking about johns channel, i am jaded because he dumped me and went on a trip to FL with a new gal. however, i still work for him and love what i get to do in the garden and with raw food prep for personal assisting in his routine. thanks for your interest in these ideas and steps towards growing food sustainably and to be self sufficient......love, nova

  • Wow!!! Awesome!!

  • A really nice overview; thanks! I'd like to know the names of some of the varieties you like best -- like the (non-bitter) red lettuce and kales...

  • go to "growingyourgreens"

for all your anwsers. it is the same garden with the real owner, john kohler giving advice. i am just one of his employees and am not allowed to pick the lettuces.everything tastes good fresh out of a garden though! love nova

  • @enovalee - wow, what a gold mine... found all the videos; thanks a bunch for the info!

  • ooops on the dupes!!

anyway, the theory is that heat destroys the vitamins and living enzymes that give a plant its vital nutritional life force. so eat it raw whenever you can, i do still enjoy warm food myself though, love nova

  • On the squash noodles, just grow spaghetti squash! bake it cut in half, 350 for 45 minutes with olive oil spread. When you scoop it out it falls out into spaghetti.

  • it sounds yummy that way, i will have to take that idea up with the gardener, he is a strict raw foodist!

  • that's great! I'm totally trying to plan my edible estate..and trying to figure a way to make it somewhat blend in to my suburban subdivision. :/

  • How long is your growing season where you are? Trying to figure out how to go from a lawn to a full garden near the mountains here in Colorado, and am trying to figure out where to start.

  • nice thats what i need to do keep up the good work:)
