  • can you use a flat top brush to swirl??

  • you didn't even show us how to do the air brushed look.... sticking with my regular stippling ways

  • thanks. could you do a demonstration on how your do stippling airbrushed look?

  • I've been watching your videos and I think you are so smart!

  • Honey......I'd be constantly checking over my shoulder for the "MAC police." LOL . Beauty does not have to be expensive. Thanks for the informative videos and cost cutting hints! Keep 'em coming!

  • I love lowel brushes..I always find great eyeliner brushes and lip brushes..

  • Wow what a difference brushes make..you would think that it didn't matter but it really does..thanks!!

  • Oh my goodness! I am SOOO glad you made this video! I thought i was crazy for using a cheap powder brush just like the second one you used to stipple and swirl my foundation! I've been looking everywhere for a stippling brush so i can be a little bit more professional about my technique, but i can't find one anywhere. To be honest, the brush i'm using works great! So thanks to you, i'm not going to waste my money on a stippler!

  • Thank u for this great tip.

  • Hahahahaha! You're awesome!!!

  • they say that the elf stipple brush sucks for liquid foundation cos it's flimsy and not dense. i bought an elf stipple brush cos the MAC 187 is expensive for me. thanks to you, now i know i do not need a super dense stipple brush to have that airbrush look. i just need to dot the ends and thats it. thank you!!!! ur tips are very very helpful. go Filipinos!

  • Thanks! Just bought my first stippling brush, not 100% how to use it but your videos make it a lot easier ;D

  • Comparatively, that's a far lovelier coverage with the Loew Cornell.. just gorgeous. Your experience, tips & recommendations are always invaluable & your smile made my day. Thanks so much Enkore!

  • After I bought a Make Up For Ever stippling brush (and I don't even usually wear foundation! :P), I've told myself that I would never buy another expensive brush again ever!! And this vdo of yours confirms me that!! Thanks!

  • This is the first video I watched from you and I loved it! don't listen to the people that don't have any more interesting thing to do than insult. I think a man can give another very interesting point of view and opinion about make up, I love it!

  • Koren, my local sephora MANAGER said the only / proper way of applying with a 187/stippling brush was to stipple and swirl, but as you pointed out, using this method defeats the purpose of the brush in the first place. What a joke!

  • @Rachealg2732 then show a vid response if ur a real good make up artist. ooh wait u cant.. coz ur NOT.

  • Are you saying you shoul, or should not swirl? The other video says stipple only, if you want the airbrushed look. I am confused. I just bought an ELF Stippleer and it's great. I have a Sigma too, Ithink it is. They're just as effective as the high price for the MAC. You do awesome video's

  • need it

  • @zongbyrd does it shed and does it give good coverage?

  • did he use a paint brush????and y am i watchin a man doing makeup???

  • @jessicaca66 we're both on the same track! Sadly, people here just wants to hear praises and good comments!

  • @jessicaca66 then don't WATCH IT OR COMMENT !

  • This has nothing to do with this video. But, I was Ulta the other day and I saw a pallete by NYX (I think) and It had your picture on the display saying a little bit about your videos, I just thought it was really cool. :)

  • @homuncullus If you don't like the tutorials don't watch them. You need to learn to be nicer and more polite.

  • @MrsSchorling Okay... I will try...

  • @homuncullus wow!! you are shallow!!

who do you think you are?!?!?!

at least he's providing useful information maybe not for you but definitely for some.

and ur just a sad little case picking on others just so you feel better about yourself... did it work?

  • @Leslieaj3s Just shut the fuck up! You are a fat ugly whore who supports this kind of bullshit crap! So you can convince yourself that you look good! I am just being honest and it's just my opinion! Everybody doesn't need to be good or polite! Once you upload something like this... be sure to get positive and, negative feedback's okay. He keeps saying; "See the difference?" the answer is "NO" I don't see the difference and I don't know why you people see the difference!

  • @homuncullus I guess you must be ALL THAT if you feel like you can just bash someone in such a strong way. Keep talking the way you do and I'm sure you'll get very far in life.

  • @hoangkayc Oh! I'm so sorry... you must be a saint! and you are probably a very successful person right now. Making millions through PREACHING! Forgive me for my behavior, I should follow your good example! I bet you don't talk BAD to your friends, families and everyone around you! And you should just follow this tutorial because this is what you look like!

  • @homuncullus wow! you're RUDE. if you don't like him or his videos there is an X at the top of your page you can click to get off the page. you don't have to like his videos, but you don't have to be rude about it either!!

  • @homuncullus I don't know what's your problem that your so rude to comment something so idiotic! I mean really????

  • @1rosiestar1 I've seen your page... and boy... you are a TOTAL GENIUS! you are so creative and original! (don't get me started on your holloween video, it was GENIUS! I have never seen such an unpredictable video... specially here in youtube) forgive me if I may have been rude... because people like you deserves praises for the WONDERFUL things that you're doing like this beautiful guy up here making this tutorial! (Now, do you like my comment?... sounds real right???)

  • I like the Sonia Kashuk 'multi-purpose' brush for foundation ($14 at Target) :)

  • If you want a cheap stippling brush buy the e,l,f one its 3.00$

  • I've heard that dry skinned people should not use a stippling brush.. do you agree?

  • @Rachealg2732 A lot of people like and want this look. When done correctly it doesn't look like a ton of dots on your face it looks like even, flawless coverage. I had a demonstration of this at the MAC counter today, and it was absolutely beautiful.

  • @Rachealg2732 what you just said is a very homophobic remark and he means pixilized as in all the dots will eventually blend in as you continually dot. maybe if you had enough patience and make up skills like enkore does you wouldn't have to diss someone else for the skills you lack. and imo drag queens are the best at make up because they don't naturally look like women, for the most part.

  • Very cool, I was thinking about getting the stippling brush but I think I'll use a powder brush now. Thanks!!!

  • @HondaTuner402 because of course, you're the only person on YouTube who matters...

  • I love the MAC stippling brushes. Try the 130 instead of the 187, it's much better.

  • holy shit! thats like magic.... haha!

  • great video. i just bought the sephora airbrush 55, but i think i might have to go out and get a cheaper brush.

  • you keep it realistic, not like those "mac gurus" outhere.Thumbs up! :)

  • e.l.f. has great brushes for super cheap!! i just got my stippling brush from them for $3.00

  • @zongbyrd you should still go try out the mac one its 52$

  • i want to give you the biggest kiss ever! totally saved me lol, going to my drugstore now!

  • i got my stippling brush from Superdrug for £6.99...

  • Thanks so much! You just saved me a whole lot of money!

  • Het I just did a video like this one check it out xoxo

  • Thanks so much I just bought the MAC 187 brush today but I'm going to return it now definatly going to make use of an extra blush brush I have.

  • I never swirl after I stipple with my 187 - I feel like it ruins the texture the 187 produces. It'd be like buffing on powder after foundation rather than taping - it'd ruin my desired look.

  • thank u so much for this video!!! I'd given up on my stippling brush cuz I thought I was wasting way too much product in the bristles...I didn't realize I was applying it wrong. I also have acne scars/pock marks and I am so glad you have helped me lessen them with this demo. Love u

  • Thank you very much for this video, that was really enlightening and I have the impression that the cheaper brush gave a slightly better result.

  • This was great information. I do have a question though. Which MAC brush do you use to set your foundation with?

  • @LadyGina65 the MAC 150 is great for setting powder

  • i am having a enkore marathon haha i am soooo glad i found you i absolutely love your techniques and taking the tim eto explain and show us loveit xoxoxo byyyyye

  • I've been wanting the 187 for soo long but as I live in iceland it's very expensive... I would say aroud 90$ so i've been looking for a guplicate brush but still haven't been able to find one :(

  • Koreeeeeeennn I love you! I have so much fun watching your videos, haha!

  • Wow the right side looks so much better. Thanks for the tip, ill get one of those brushes for sure!

  • i need that lc brush!

  • wow!!! I tried your stipple method and it came out great! I thought I HAD to swirl...Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I'm going to get that Loew Cornell Brush too.

  • Wow. thank you SOMUCH!!!! I have been wanting to try applying my foundation with a brush, because i HATE using my fingers and/or sponge. I thought I was going to have to spend 50 dollars on a MAC brush just for my foundation, but you totally just made my day with this tutorial. subbed!! BTW, do you think a kabuki would work for applying liquid foundation??

  • omg u are sooooooooooo weird

  • you are soo helpful and these past few days i have been watching most of your videos

  • thank you for the tip!! you're awesome!!! :D :D

  • what kind primer do you use

  • I've been using the stippling brush completely the wrong way! Thank you so much.

  • Amazing video! Very very helpfull. Thank you so much! n___n

  • i already watch four of your videos and i love them!

You are amazing :-) you won a sub

  • I got my 187 today and learned how to use from watching you video

    thank you

  • where can i get the loew cornell brush??

  • Hate to put down MAC but the stippling brush didn't get into the scars as well as the 4.99 brush did. I see a difference, but the MAC side looks worse than the cheap brush side. BOO on MAC for that. I still love them though!

  • i love this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok, it seems that you are the ONLY person on youtube that uses the stippling brush the CORRECT way!! lol!

  • omg i just loveeee stippling brush, it just changed the way my makeup looks........

  • ahh thank you so much :) i'm gonna use that technique from now on

  • Thank you from Germany! You are awsome ! I leared so much from you!

  • It looks a bit too light for you.

  • after watching your video you just posted wanted to make sure i understand how to do this thank you so much for all the information you share with us.

  • wow!!!! Great tutorial!!!!!

  • you are great!

  • justsubbed!

  • so i am sitting in my room alone while watching this video, and ive been watching your vids for awhile now, and then i said outload "why erent I subscribed?" so i subbed.

    haha

  • THAT HELPS SO MUCH!!!!!!! Thank you for showing and explaining all that. I have both brushes, Mac 187 and the round mop brush. I don't mess with the stippling brush because I don't feel like I get the amount of coverage I want. THANK YOU!

  • I just ordered a MAC 109 to do this. I am wrong? I half small features, small face.

  • i stay in singapore, where can i get these loe cornell brushes?

  • it helped me so much as i have acne scars... thank you so much again...

  • omg you can really seethe difference. Your amazing thank u

  • Thanks!! sO MUCH FOR THIS video.

  • Can i use regular Powder brush instead of MAC187 using this Stippling and swirling technique?????

  • @silverstargirl20

i think that would be too cakey

187 allows that airbrush effect by stippling only because the bristle are not as dense as normal face brush, if you use a normal face brush and do the stippling move you will probably get cakey uneven finish??

  • @senadoll

    O Really.

well thanks alot for the reply :)

  • Your videos are very helpful, thankyou!

  • Thank you so much for this video! You were right, I was wasting my $42 brush. I just started stippling and it is awesome!!!!! I use less product and get so much more coverage. Thanks again.

  • please do a video on how you take care of your nails, they're so perferct.

  • The 187 brush is bloody amazing! just got one and i did the stippling technique untill the foundation was nearly all blended in, then i swirled for a bit to really blend everything in and my skin looks absolutely flawless. Really impressed and i used half the amount of foundation i normally use with a regular brush. Your videos are brilliant, so glad i watched them! :-)

  • Can u stipple concealer on too? Would I stipple concealer before or after foundation?

  • Cool... U looked flawless after both!!! I was gonna invest in a mac 187 brush but I may look for the loew Cornell brush!!!!

  • hm I never thought to swirl with a stippling brush. I really need to get a new one though I'm using a sephora brand one and it's shed all over my face. Urgghh :|

  • Love your Videos! thanks so much for the tips :)

  • Thanks for the great tips! The lay told me to use the stipple brush to buff and swirl it on. I'm glad you showed the importance of only stippling. It makes a great coverage on my skin. I have acne scars and the stippling really softens them up!

  • thanks youuuu¡¡¡your videos are interesting¡¡¡very good¡¡¡

  • wow, thank you soo much. This is very helpful tip especially to newbies like me.

  • Love it, as always. You're fantastic. You've really helped me.

  • thankyou so much for sharing and teaching us pro tips! i went to my local mac counter and even with a private appointment such thorough & useful information was not shared :)

  • thanks, i really saw the difference in this! this video was really helpful :)

  • wow i actually think the low cornell brush gave more coverage nice!

  • if you want a good stippling brush try the sonia kashuk hightlighting brush, it works amazingly well for foundation

  • Thank you!!! This was very helpful, I bought the 187, stippled and swirled, then wondered why the results were... Boring.

  • Thanks so much for this, the blush brush helped me achieve a pretty nice look, except on my pores!

Do you know anything that could help that? I already use Smashbox Photo Finish & Clinique's pore minimizer, yet they always stand out and especially using this method. :(

Any tips would be really appreciated!

  • @Edelien try urban decay pore perfecting it works for me!

  • I actually think the cheaper bush side looks better. The coverage is fuller and more flawless. Thanks.

  • since mac is super expensive for me, i bought the studio tools dual finish brush and it looks exactly like the mac 187!it was great!

  • @luvlykmusic

MAC sucks any ways. Its just popular.

  • after i stipple my foundation on, i like to lightly run my brush across my whole face, just to make sure every part of my face is covered

  • just ordered my 187 and a kabuki (:

im gunna be airbrushed forever <3 aha ilux

  • omg! I seriously was just about to order a stippling brush right now...but i thought "hmm maybe i should watch a video about it first" and thank you!

you saved me 42 bucks!...because i do use the stipple and swirl technique with my blush brush! (I just figured it would look better with a 187)

    THANKS SO MUCH!!

    YOUR AWESOME!

  • as usual you prove to be sooo helpful!

  • I'm not a big fan of the 187 for foundation. I use mine for mineral blush but I wouldn't but it again, 40 bucks is a lot for just blush in my opinion. Especially when I could have just used one of my kabukis. Anyway, this video was really neat, I have never thought to try with a mop brush.

  • so ive realized.... its not the "foundation" itself, its the brush and technique!

    thanks enkore ;DDDD

  • This was such a helpful post! I've always seen people demonstrate foundation routines with stippling brushes where they stipple then swirl, and that's how I thought the technique was done. Thank you soooo much for clearing this up! I tried the stippling technique done the right way, and I can't believe what a difference it makes! Thank you for all of your video postings-you help so many people including me! <3

  • OMG thanku!!!

  • personally i love my 187!!

yes it was a bit pricy, but i see it as an investment. i've tried other brushes and not many of them compare!!

  • WOW!!

    i just bought this today

  • can i apply BB CREAM using the same way that show me? Thank...

  • Were can I get one of those dishes, Im using a Mac postcard LOL!

  • haha nooo don't do that, you can usually sell them for at least $5, if not a lot more if they're rare :( you can buy cheap bulk petri dishes from school science supply stores OR you can use the clean lid of a 10g plastic jar.

  • Thank you, as a person with acne scars the stippling only way is the best my makeup has ever looked. You have made a major difference in my live. THANK YOU

  • i luv u!

    u r freaking amaZING!!

  • I have freckles all over my cheeks, and I love them, I don't want to cover them up, but I still ned to wear foundation. What would you suggest t give me good coverage everywhere without covering up my freckles?

  • You should try MAC's Face & Body Foundation. I have freckles too and this is subtle but good coverage that doesn't sweat off. (it's water-resistant!)

I use it every day with a MAC 187 brush :) Hope that helps.

  • Have you tried colored primers? Smashbox and Makeup Forever make them in different colors for different things you need covered (for example, the green one evens out skin redness and the orange one cancels out undereye darkness.) You could try using one catered to your skin type...your skin will still show through, but it will be smoothed out and corrected at the same time.

  • exactly how much are the mac brushes?

    the 187 brush?

  • 45 bucks but supposedly the sigma brush is a near perfect dupe for 16. Havent tried mine yet but the sigma brushes I have tried have been awesome. I prefer one of them over my mac.

  • your so amazing i love all your videos your so wonderful and happy! all your tips and tutorials are amazing i freakin luv u.

  • i tnink the second half with the cheaper brush looks much better . More even coverage . Thanks for always posting and passing on great info .

  • It makes sense... Thank you ^^

  • You're amazing! This really makes sense! =)

  • aghhhh!! i love it!!! beautiful!!!!!! i have to try this now!!!!

  • Wow never knew that thanks

  • wat brush r u usin?

    mac

  • is a stippler brush better then a flat foundation brush?.

  • a stippler gives more of an air brushed natural look

  • thanx i didn't know that!!! i prefer an air brushed natural look so ithink will buy a stippler brush now thank you!!

  • another positive about stippling and not swirling is that if you are like me and have acne and use drying treatments, if you use bushes or sponges and you drag them across your skin or buff the skin with brushes it kinda flakes up you skin and then you have a lot of flakes on your face and they are just exaggerated by the makeup if you tap, or stipple it doesnt do that. and i find if you have large pores, or pitted acne scars stippling helps because it kinda packs makeup into pore, airbrush look

  • oooh. thank you for those tips! :)

  • u can also use the round mop medium. it mimics the 109. ur great encore!

  • do u do the same thing for applying blush?

  • Thanks for the tips, you are so pro!

  • u r the best enkore im sure u knw tat thanks for this tutorial wat a diff by jus stippling w/o swirling which i used to do

    thanks kisses love ur fan

  • Thanxxxx! my foundation always looked caked on and i thought there was nothing i could do to stop it, becuz i have acne scars that i HAVE TO conceal. but today i tried strippling (never knew what that was before watching this vid) and it was perfect. =D

  • aw enkore you're my favorite on

    YT...ur amazing!

  • Enkore...your the greatest... i swear!! Muah!!! lol and you wanna know something.. JUST YESTERDAY............I BOUGHT THAT DAMN 187 BRUSH!!!! Lol. But Im definately likeing how much the Loew brush picks up and adheres to the skin! Always makes the greatest vids Enkore! keep up the great work. :)

  • oh yea love da video..ur amazing enkore..

  • Thanks Koren! Great tips AS ALWAYS!

  • thats uncalled for, really - nothing nice to say, dont bother saying anything at all..

  • ruriel2, yeah, it really is uncalled for... why would you try and bring hate and negativity onto this page? if you're unsatisfied w/ this vid., then go find another tutorial instead of typing rude stuff behind your keyboard.

  • wow thats a 40 dollar saving.

  • whats the difference between foundation brushes and stippling ones?

  • Stippling brushes give a more airbrushed look.

  • IDK if it's just me but I swear the cheaper brush side looks smoother!

  • that was the pointhe was making, he is saying if you want to use the 187 for a stipple and swirl technique its a waste of 40 dollars :)

the 187 is best used for just a stipple technique :)

  • Thank you so much. You are awesome!

  • i must say you are amazing!

  • Hey question-- Can i just stipple with the loew cornell 277 brush? and leave out the swirling? or that brush isint good for just stippling alone?

  • no way!
