SWEET!!! I've been looking for this scene for ever! I used to have this TV version taped when I was a kid, but the quality was terrible! I remember watching this version of the movie over & over, then I eventually bought the original VHS (for better quality) and was crushed when I discovered this scene (along with many others) was nowhere to be found :(
I think they filmed this just in case they weren't able to do a third one. When they got the go, they might've been in post production with this so they decided to cut this and save it for the third film. I sort of like seeing Sweetchuck here since we don't see him again after the street fair.
I remember this ending from the old VHS it was after the credits this ending was from the original 1985 release when warner brothers used to release the vhs tapes on those big huge black and red boxes. I knew i wasn't crazy this ending does exist.
@zuuhc that was an alternate ending to the second one... i guess it was meant to show that as his sentence Zed was forced to enter the police force and go through the entire 14 weeks training... kind of like Mahoney in the first one...
that was an alternate ending? i thought that was the regular ending lol. i loved the series, i don't care what the critics say, they don't know whats great for the people.
that's nuts, never saw this. ah, the tv version that's used to pad a movie when the original is too short.

@NostalgiaVision If they left this scene the third movie wouldn't make sense as they hadn't joined yet.

They should have patched this with Tackleberry's leaving the church after he gets married adding this as a spoiler for a 3rd one.

This doesn't set it up for POlice Academy 3. In 3 Zed and Sweetchuck haven't joined yet!

I've seen this on over-the-air and basic cable TV. This scene was just not seen in theatres,on premium cable(i.e. HBO) or on the VHS version.
