I jailbroke my iPhone 3G using RedSn0w v0.9.5. First, I enabled only homescreen wallpaper and installed Cydia. That worked fine. Then, I tried out multitasking and disabled wallpaper. That worked okay until I started running 9 or 10 different apps in the background. It really started to slow down my iPhone. Pretty soon, I couldn't even open my mail app. I would go to it, but then it would just crash and I had to disable it and I only left Cydia installed.

I don't believe that is jailbroken. Not fully anyway. The Cydia and Terminal looked convincing, but the multi-tasking he used is the same way you multi-task on the 4.0 firmware. Just saying. And if you have jailbroken your iPhone you'd have way more stuff. I will believe it if I see proof. Kinda the same as God. I don't believe in him cos there is no proof. Maybe if he showed us how to jailbreak it or opened up cydia then I might change my mind.

@DjAwsmness...when you jailbreak the 4.0 software..you do NOT need to install a 3rd party app from Cydia to enable multitasking...before you jailbreak it...Redsn0w will ask you if you would like to enable multitasking and other features from the 3gs version of 4.0 such as enabling wallpaper. All you have to do is click it and it will run on the 4.0 firmware without having to install any app from Cydia at all...which is why it runs the same as the 4.0 on 3gs and iphone 4.

wow... this is a total fake... first off, 4.0 multitasking does not look like that, second, its not that hard to change the calculator icon, third that isn't even an iPhone... plus you didn't even show us game center, so it would have been easy to just use "Rename" to rename any random icon, and then change the icon...

It may well be strong enough to run multitasking during the beta, but the only apps that are setup for multitasking are apple's apps. (Put a game in multitasking and return to it and you will have lost your place.) I'll bet it wont run smoothly once everything is out of the beta phase and all the apps are OS 4.0 tested and coded to run multitasking.
