I have a question, Do i need to have a wireless receiver if im using the wheel on the xbox on a pc monitor?. Cause im not using the wheel for a pc im using it for the 360 but im hooking my 360 to my pc monitor.
@0Flipsyde0 The wheel only communicates with your Xbox. It doesn't matter what you use for your video and audio, as long as your Xbox is working, the wheel will work as well.
Note that while it says 'wireless', you'll have to connect the pedal to the steering wheel, and an adapter as well.

Metropolis is the city Superman comes from so when the games was in development Bizarre used the next DC Comics city as their codename for the project and the name stuck! Also it's hard to look at the wheel when jessica's on the screen.
Since you did a review of an old game, I wondered if you were planning to make a review of Enthusia Professional Racing on ps2. I know everyone is asking about Forza 3, GT5, iRacing and others theses days but this game definitely needs to be rated by you guys IMO.
use the ms wheel to get a taste for racing and if u want to upgrade the ms pedals work with some fanatecs so you dont have too buy expensive pedals with the wheel.

The microsoft wheel works perfect for me i LOVE! it its so awesome the paddles feel good to me the mount works great for the table i use and the force feedback is crazy strong if you use it with grid and put all the force feedback settings all the way up it is crazy strong. I dont have the seats and wheels and pedles that they have in the arcades i just was tired of using the controler. plenty good enough for me.
@keith18ad i hosnestly dont know just go into options look under the settings for the wheel and look for force feedback. if you have the wheel and forza 3 that is if not then i would suggest maby googiling it or maby looking for a forza wiki? i dont know but i would be shocked if you couldent need for speed shift has it so i would bet mony forza would. hope this helps ;}

just got this wheel last night and just watched the review and i think i made a good buy for 100 bucks. I would recomend this wheel unless you have the money to buy the fanatec wheel.
got forza 3 on day of release and cant even play it. i can either buy a over priced airbag porsche hybrid or the microsoft wheel (which ive already had rubish) im really dissopointed ive been xbox since day 1 but ive had to turn to the darkside for my sims roll on gt5 !!

It's the Historix mod for rFactor.. But it's actually converted from GT Legends. So you need GT Legends first (which will give you that car), and rFactor.. then you can download the full Historix pack that updates all the cars sounds and physics.
Can't believe you'd even give the MS wheel the time of day. The thing is a joke and yes I have one. Love Forza 3 but don't play it 'cos of this POS. Missed a chance to bitch about Microsoft not supporting the G25/G27 so most people have to buy this crap.

It's not Microsoft. It's Logitech. The architecture of the 360 is the problem. Logitech will not design a G2X type wheel to function with the 360 architecture. Noone knows why. So, don't blame Microsoft. Ask Logitech why they won't design their good wheels to work with the 360. They make controllers and other crappy wheels, why not a good wheel?
Of course Microsoft's to blame! They introduced an exclusive controller interface architecture with the 360 (XID, controller based feedback). Unlike the global platform that already exists: (HID, host based). Why? So they can charge developers extra for licences (and thus end users). All my controllers work perfectly with PS3 and PC with no grief whatsoever...
I had this wheel about 3 years ago... it stopped working was told to send it back to MS which I did... weeks later I called to see what was going on with my wheel I was told by them it had been mailed back to me. 10days later I still had not gotten it. I called MS and was told they knew nothing about me or my wheel. I never got it back and they refused to do anything about the situation. I then went out and bought a PS3 and haven't looked back. I was also on my 3rd 360 when this happened. SUX!
Fellas, I haven't watched the episode yet (really slow internet) but have you heard about GT Academy on the PS3? 250mb download for a single test track with a 370Z if you get in the top 10 for your country or something they will actually genuinely put you into a competition to be a REAL race driver!
Do a google for "Lucas Ordonez" he won last year, there's several videos on Youtube, it's really great of Polyphony / Sony to do this - you may be interested in it.
To put it on our weighted ratins scale due to many requests for it.. Fans of the PGR series wanted to see where it ranked.. So did we.. It had never made the show, so it was time for us to talk about it.. This show isn't only about whats coming out. It's also about whats out there to enjoy in the sim racing world.
The sad thing is, the physics were arcadey crap in PGR3, PGR2 actually had a really good casual balance of realism and arcade - it's no Forza or GT but it was great fun.
The yellow dress in the thumbnail for the show is epic, god she's so hot.
I wonder if she actually genuinely enjoys racing games in her spare time or what. I'm sure there's more to this girl than just a pretty face and body but god it's hard to look elsewhere, luckily the guys are pretty passionate about this stuff.
For some reason, this episode production quality is not as clean as previous shows. Also, I think the review of PGR3 was a waste, as most console racers will have the current versions of the game. PGR4 should have been the only review.

I'm fed up with your bias towards fanatec now, you're quite happy to mention the dodgy single batch of MS wheels from a few YEARS ago but with fanatec you don't say anything about the build quality, EVERYBODY I know on Forza who has bought a Turbo S for drifting has had theirs break on them. For that price it is entirely inexcusable to be that unreliable..
Project Gotham's biggest strength in my opinion are the city tracks...which you won't find in many other games. You saw London in GT5:Prologue but that was only a FRACTION of what you can race in PGR.
With the creators of the title, Bizarre Creations, being bought by Activision I don't see any true sequel to the PGR games coming any time soon.
Another great show guys but I have 2 say u were a bit harsh on the 360 wheel. If you've been using the Fanatec or G25/27 wheel then it's always going 2 feel a bit average but if it's your first wheel then I actually think u can't go far wrong with it and it's defo a 5/5 4 value in my book. Apart from that another top show guys :-).
This is true, but all of Forza's cars have the same kind of character you get on PC sim mods; that same attention to detail and soul. The DLC, to an extent, feels even more so, if only because the developers made them without the grinding stress of having to release a game.
PGR3? Xbox 360 wheel? A review consisting out of mostly unclarified numbers? What did you imposters do to Shaun and Darin!? This has nothing to do with sim racing and even the ocassional part that is about sim racing lacks what SRT used to be about. I know there isn't always enough happening in the simracing scene to fill your episodes, but I'd rather see a couple of episodes per year than seeing you ruining your reputation and credibility even more. Get back to the basics of SRT.

Xbox needs more racing peripherals. It seems our only option for near full game support and force feedback is the MS wheel.

We had many requests for reviews on both, so .. we did..

CESW had nothing last year in regards to new gaming.. so we weren't there.. TGS is IN TOKYO.. You want to fund our trip there ?? We were at E3 to check out GT5 and where was it ?? Oh yeah.. we got to check out the PSP version.. So we were supposed to spend money to cover a demo of GT5 that we had no idea would be there ? We will cover GT5.. don't worry.. The fanboys from this rivalry kill me.. lol

just got this wheel last night and just watched the review and i think i made a good buy for 100 bucks. I would recomend this wheel unless you have the money to buy the fanatec wheel.

got forza 3 on day of release and cant even play it. i can either buy a over priced airbag porsche hybrid or the microsoft wheel (which ive already had rubish) im really dissopointed ive been xbox since day 1 but ive had to turn to the darkside for my sims roll on gt5 !!

It's the Historix mod for rFactor.. But it's actually converted from GT Legends. So you need GT Legends first (which will give you that car), and rFactor.. then you can download the full Historix pack that updates all the cars sounds and physics.

Can't believe you'd even give the MS wheel the time of day. The thing is a joke and yes I have one. Love Forza 3 but don't play it 'cos of this POS. Missed a chance to bitch about Microsoft not supporting the G25/G27 so most people have to buy this crap.

It's not Microsoft. It's Logitech. The architecture of the 360 is the problem. Logitech will not design a G2X type wheel to function with the 360 architecture. Noone knows why. So, don't blame Microsoft. Ask Logitech why they won't design their good wheels to work with the 360. They make controllers and other crappy wheels, why not a good wheel?

Of course Microsoft's to blame! They introduced an exclusive controller interface architecture with the 360 (XID, controller based feedback). Unlike the global platform that already exists: (HID, host based). Why? So they can charge developers extra for licences (and thus end users). All my controllers work perfectly with PS3 and PC with no grief whatsoever...

I had this wheel about 3 years ago... it stopped working was told to send it back to MS which I did... weeks later I called to see what was going on with my wheel I was told by them it had been mailed back to me. 10days later I still had not gotten it. I called MS and was told they knew nothing about me or my wheel. I never got it back and they refused to do anything about the situation. I then went out and bought a PS3 and haven't looked back. I was also on my 3rd 360 when this happened. SUX!

Fellas, I haven't watched the episode yet (really slow internet) but have you heard about GT Academy on the PS3? 250mb download for a single test track with a 370Z if you get in the top 10 for your country or something they will actually genuinely put you into a competition to be a REAL race driver!
Do a google for "Lucas Ordonez" he won last year, there's several videos on Youtube, it's really great of Polyphony / Sony to do this - you may be interested in it.

To put it on our weighted ratins scale due to many requests for it.. Fans of the PGR series wanted to see where it ranked.. So did we.. It had never made the show, so it was time for us to talk about it.. This show isn't only about whats coming out. It's also about whats out there to enjoy in the sim racing world.

The sad thing is, the physics were arcadey crap in PGR3, PGR2 actually had a really good casual balance of realism and arcade - it's no Forza or GT but it was great fun.
Never tried PGR4 after the disgrace that 3 was.

For some reason, this episode production quality is not as clean as previous shows. Also, I think the review of PGR3 was a waste, as most console racers will have the current versions of the game. PGR4 should have been the only review.
An ok episode for you guys, but not your best.
And...Jessica...wow...you really gave us an eye full in that shirt :)

Had this wheel for along time now, since it was first released, it's perfect, the price is good and the quality is great for all racing games!
Dirt 2, PGR3/4, Forza 3, they all work great with the wheel, get this wheel if you have a 360 and don't want to spend lots of money!

I'm fed up with your bias towards fanatec now, you're quite happy to mention the dodgy single batch of MS wheels from a few YEARS ago but with fanatec you don't say anything about the build quality, EVERYBODY I know on Forza who has bought a Turbo S for drifting has had theirs break on them. For that price it is entirely inexcusable to be that unreliable..

Project Gotham's biggest strength in my opinion are the city tracks...which you won't find in many other games. You saw London in GT5:Prologue but that was only a FRACTION of what you can race in PGR.
With the creators of the title, Bizarre Creations, being bought by Activision I don't see any true sequel to the PGR games coming any time soon.

Another great show guys but I have 2 say u were a bit harsh on the 360 wheel. If you've been using the Fanatec or G25/27 wheel then it's always going 2 feel a bit average but if it's your first wheel then I actually think u can't go far wrong with it and it's defo a 5/5 4 value in my book. Apart from that another top show guys :-).

This is true, but all of Forza's cars have the same kind of character you get on PC sim mods; that same attention to detail and soul. The DLC, to an extent, feels even more so, if only because the developers made them without the grinding stress of having to release a game.

PGR3? Xbox 360 wheel? A review consisting out of mostly unclarified numbers? What did you imposters do to Shaun and Darin!? This has nothing to do with sim racing and even the ocassional part that is about sim racing lacks what SRT used to be about. I know there isn't always enough happening in the simracing scene to fill your episodes, but I'd rather see a couple of episodes per year than seeing you ruining your reputation and credibility even more. Get back to the basics of SRT.
