my TF2 crashing =/

From the Steam Play Games Menu, right click on TF2. Choose Properties, then click Launch Options. Paste the following in the box.

+mat_forcehardwaresync 0 +snd_async_prefetch_priority 1

Click Ok and you are ready to go.

Offline and Online Mulitplayer modes will should all work now.

This didnt work for me so maybe it works for u ;) .

Yeah,my tf2 laged like a bitch,so i found a video that reduces lag for tf2(tutorial),but now my tf2 crashes when i get to character select and i guess i get that for putting in the code in launch options.Then i reinstalled tf2 and steam,but wont work.Thanks to XDarknessX2,i cant play my tf2 anymore.

TF2 is the last Valve game I am buying (Ok, actually L4D is) unless they fix crap like this. I cannot currently play TF2 as well... it just crashes for no reason randomly. Every other single game works totally fine... just TF2!

whenever i start up TF2 it says that my driver needs to be updated. And it give sme a link to update it. when i click on the link, it doesnt show anything to update my driver. so can anyone help me with this problem. I can only play TF2 for about 15 minutes before the computer turns off and restarts.

Its vista, try turning off UAC in Control Panel/User Account and Family 'Safety'/User Accounts.

go to team fortress 2 and click on properties, under set launch options put dx level 9.0. This helped it work for me but I am not sure if it will work for you.
