Well, why not have positive thinking in all situations? Obviously, if someone dies, one would not find it odd for you to be sad. Any scientist who works with qurantum mechanics will tell you that while they do have many theories, nothing can be said for certain. Also, if the scientists find what they are seeking in the partical accelerator in Sweden then the Standard Model of Physics will be obsolete! Quantum Physics is shaking up all branches of science! 1) Quantum Physics is NOT a new field of science. It has been around for almost 100 years. (look up Nils Bohr and Copenhagen interpretation).
2) Lots of things is for certain. In example the uncertanity principle. (look up Heisenberg).
3) The international collider/LHC is in Swiss not Sweden. You are only off by a couple of 1000 kilometers which means the accuracy of your geographics and physics knowledge is about equal.

If you read further into the Law of Attraction you will see that what he says is exactly right and that is what the good loa teachers say as well (e.g. Bob Doyle) - "like does NOT attract like", "good thought are not enough" and so on. ok, I confess - I'm not a quantum physicist :P. But I don't give a damn shit if my life is changing the way it has been changing the past 1 year due to positive thinking or a proved/provable theory :P. Who cares?!?! I'm a computer scientist and you know what's our motto :P: "If it works don't touch it!!!". And besides... provable... maybe not with TODAYS science. Who knows what crazy theory will emerge that will prove everything. You're free to believe in whatever works for you. Same for me :).

Everything is okay until they said that our thoughts travel around the universe on a major scale... Thats not the case. We need very sensible mechanisms RIGHT ON TOP of our heads to even record such fainted neural impulses. Its not something that travels around for kilometers! that would just be a waste of energy. This is where "The Secret" fails...

The problem with "the secret" is how the individual is blamed when something goes wrong.(blaming the victim) Also, "The Secret" philosophy cannot account for birth defects or handicaps.
ie: You don't have a big house and car? It's you fault for thinking incorrectly. This kind of philosophy leads to low self esteem, self-hate, and depression.

I have a block because I am thinking in desperation this is a negative force will attract only more desperation feelings and situations in regards to the thing I want. I am learning to not be so desperate in my deliberate thinking, I have to remember to enjoy the movie in my head with ease.

I watched this movie The Secret, and I gave it a shot. First I tried with something easy so I pictured having a new iPod. I know I am wierd cause others might have asked for something more valuable. Anyway, two weeks after watching this movie I had the chance to purchase that iPod to myself. I do know it was because of the power of visualization.

Well, why not have positive thinking in all situations? Obviously, if someone dies, one would not find it odd for you to be sad. At the same time, holding in negative energy will not help alleviate your situation. The thing is, you have to realize that reality is just a state of mind. What is a fake life? Is being self conscious enough to control your feelings fake? Once you become self conscious, you become ANYTHING you want. A good quote from 'Terminator 2' :
"No fate but what you make"

Positive or negative thinking is just a method we have to seek for a more balanced mindset. However, +/- is merely a measuring concept we have, and ultimately what we want is to have the ability to achieve that balance. we might think that positive thinking is the only way to go, but there is definately some feasibilities to negative thinking. Negative thinking is a form of thinking for negative consequences, so we have the ability to understand the risks invovled for doing crazy stunts.

To ThrakhathOfKilrah, You're correct in saying that physics says opposites attract and not like to like. However, Quantum Physics is a new field of science. Any scientist who works with qurantum mechanics will tell you that while they do have many theories, nothing can be said for certain. Also, if the scientists find what they are seeking in the partical accelerator in Sweden then the Standard Model of Physics will be obsolete! Quantum Physics is shaking up all branches of science! 1) Quantum Physics is NOT a new field of science. It has been around for almost 100 years. (look up Nils Bohr and Copenhagen interpretation).
2) Lots of things is for certain. In example the uncertanity principle. (look up Heisenberg).
3) The international collider/LHC is in Swiss not Sweden. You are only off by a couple of 1000 kilometers which means the accuracy of your geographics and physics knowledge is about equal.
Recommended book: "John Gribbin - In search of Schrodingers Cat".

The scientific method has developed under no more than 400 years emenating from people such as Keppler and Descartes. In that light quantum physics is not new. Evolutionary Psychology, yes. Genetics, yes, but not quantum physics.
What came out of your ass "nothing can be said for certain". Don't lie about what you said.
You may be a student of what ever subject in whatever university, but if you think quantum physics validates "the Secret" then you don't know the first thing about it.
