  • Classic rawk is right, has songs that are sung in every concert and they sang back chat only in this concert. In fact I wish today's youth knew more classics like Queen, Scorpions, they do not know what they are missing, as this wonderful music. Classic rawk tem razão, tem musicas que são cantadas em todos shows. Aliás eu gostaria que os jovens de hoje conhecessem mais os clássicos como queen, Scorpions, eles não sabem o que estão perdendo, como essa música maravilhosa.

  • This song is so underrated.

  • back chat by deaky

  • ALL HAIL QUEEN!!! FOREVER AND EVER AMEN!!!!

  • All Queen is brilliant and killer, can't seem to find an exception and I've been listening since the 70's.

  • I think all we need to say: Thanks John.

  • THIS KILLED THE ALBUM VERSION.

  • freddie the king mercury

  • once there was something called MUSIC

  • Queen = Perfection. period

  • i really dont know why people say hot space is a bad album, i like their songs

  • fuck yeah!!!

  • Hot space was way better than The Works.

  • @Ikeisbo Uh, no it wasn't. Hot Space was too poppy and shit, totally not rock and Queen's style. The Works was just awesome.

  • @AndreyZidaneTM Haha. Yea i guess. Queen kind of went "Michael Jackson" But The Works wasn't that great either. The Game and News of the World are there best!

  • @Ikeisbo The Works was actually pretty good imo, certainly not their best I'll give you that, but still way way better than Hot Space.

Don't get me wrong about the 'pop shit'. I'm a HUGE Michael Jackson fan, longer that I ever was a Queen fan as a matter of fact, but each have their own style. Michael did try a few rock songs, it kinda worked but it still wasn't his style. The poppy shit is what worked for him best. Same with Queen on the rock and pop thing.

  • @AndreyZidaneTM Me too! It was songs like "Cool Cat" that made me dislike "Hot Space'' I mean Comparing it "The Game" it dosn't sound the same. I do like this song however. Not to many 12 year olds like me!

  • This was the best song off Hot Space no doubt.

  • JOHN IS THE KING OF THE BASS GUITAR¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Essa música 'Ao Vivo' ficou boa, e tbm todas nesse show 'Live At The Bowl' ;)

  • I love John Deacon!

  • Cool cat's one of my favorite songs! I really liked hot space.

  • yep, hot space is such an underrated album

  • just leave me alonee!...hee very nice song ...

  • Just AWESOME!!!!

  • i really like hot space and i like jazz.. sorry for those who dont like those albums LOL

  • Hot Space gets a lot of shit. It's really not bad at all if you love Queen. Most of the songs arent given a chance like Life Is Real or Cool Cat.

  • To all those who say hot space was Queens worst and those who say they lost their rock style, piss off and go and watch Justin Bieber.

Queen never lost their style thats a fact!

  • the bast!queen...forever!!

  • One of the best tracks from the under-rated HOT SPACE - great live version !!!

  • John fucking Deacon!

  • Not enough shots of John!

  • THis is great!!!

  • Hot Space is really really really great album! :)

I don't know why is underrated by people.

  • @PartyMuminek I think that Hot Space is the worst album from Queen because , in this album, they left their style.

  • @deaconspecial i agree that by Queen`s standards Hot Space was their worst album... but it wasn`t a bad album nonetheless... it got some good songs like Staying Power, Back Chat, The Words of Love and of course a GREAT song/hit like Under Pressure...

  • @CactusG26 right...

  • xochilipanztli itza tiltlta kitzili!!!

  • One of the best bass lines ever!!!!

  • wow, john deacon's bassline really do the job, makes me jumpin and dancin around while listening to the song! and the slap/solo part is awesome! too bad that people who are not really into music can't really appreciate bass guitar!

  • So funny how the band is just doing their own thing as Freddie is dancing around them. Love Freddie's dimples. This concert had to be one of their best.

  • I wished that Freddie tried to go for the C5 at 3:13. I'm very sure that he would have hit it with the shape that he was in on that day!!!

  • @ThisIsKuroCat at that time he could cach the A4 which is not bad because after he was very diffivult for me its a that tm that his voice was on the top of it power and the singer too ^^ of course!!

  • модно

  • This one saves the album version!

  • Faster than the album version but so freaking cool too!

  • what kicking asses solo .

  • amazing guitar solo!!

  • awesome live version and look at his moves - just freddy ;-)

  • all the queen songs are better live than album version xD

  • 3:04 that note always makes my day

  • Jajaja a Nadie le gusta esa cancion cuando es la version del album, pero todos amamos esta cancion cuando es en vivo!!!

  • @14henry39diablito11 habla por tii

  • @14henry39diablito11 son gustos de cada uno...

  • This along with the live version of Staying Power show how amazing these songs are yet were completely over produced on Hot Space. Live At The Bowl is one my favorite live CD's simply because it makes Hot Space a somewhat legit album for Queen.

  • Brian really fireballs that solo out seemingly nowhere

  • Simmons pads.......the sound of the 80's Even I do have a pair of those somewhere.

  • i like all queen songs in every album :) so therefor i think this song is brilliant

  • The band finally decided to include a guitar solo on "Back Chat" after heated debate. It reached #40 on the UK singles chart. The track would be performed on the Hot Space tour at a faster tempo, with a more rock-orientated arrangement. "Back Chat", the title, is an English idiom equivalent to the American phrase "back talk" (a phrase that is actually mentioned in the song), referring to an argument between two people.

  • @guidoaspa Thank you for precise explanation of meaning and origin of the song :D

  • @guidoaspa Ok I know you take this information from Wikipedia :D

  • I'm so glad Brian convinced John to put a guitar solo on this one. He really brings the song to a whole new level.

  • this is a song about mi job.back chat back chat...ha uuuuuuuuuuUUuU jea jea a now dadad back chat...

  • I don't care what people say hot space fucking ROCKKED!

  • @vitamincity hot space was badass

  • I love the Hot Space album!

  • Wow!! In this show John Deacon rulez!!! Amazing!

  • Brian May, the best guitarrist ever!

  • John just sky rocked during the solo

  • brian plays as usually. like a real god.

  • two asshole

  • In fact, I think the whole album is good but played live, like this.

  • I find that Queen are one of only very few bands that had the talent to outperform what they did in the studio when they went on stage, and this song proves it. In fact the only other band I can think of that can be better live than on album is Dire Straits.

  • They certainly had the guts to release an album like Hot Space, it was risky but brilliant as they were they always rocked us !

  • what year was this?

  • @haproductions 1982

  • I love hot space album and I think that it has been a good idea to make something different... Queen have created a lot of beautiful songs of many styles, that is great.

As author I like John Deacon very much

  • I discovered this song just a few days ago and I think that queen had even more very interesting an unique songs which were a bit underrated.

  • just fabulous!

  • Hot Space definitively had a change in the sound which was not really appreciated, but those live performances prove that the songwriting was still as great as before.

  • Regardless of what anyone says about 'Hot Space', it was an amazing album and Queen were so brave to explore the funk and disco genre. If they didn't create the album as it stands, you've got to wonder what it'd be like. Would Queen have just continued with the standard sound of the day, or perhaps follow up with the rockabilly sounds established in 'The Game'? I really doubt bass and synth heavy, funky tunes such as 'Radio Ga Ga', 'A Kind Of Magic' and others would exist without 'Hot Space'.

  • @ iceonfire7 just my opinion =)

  • Roger nailing his hi-hats!!

    Love him!

  • @fickendermann I doubt that MySpace had anything to do with the Queen album "Hot Space" :) MySpace isn't nearly that cool.

  • @BobCalli99 lol

  • I fuckin' love Freddie's dance moves!!! He just had energy and charisma for DAYS! Love this!

  • back chat

  • Along with "Cool Cat", "Under Pressure", "Las Palabras de Amor" and "Put out the Fire", the best song from "My Space", great sound and great performance!

  • FREDDIE !!!! John!!! Roger keeps this sweet and Brian is a master here. The perfect live act. x

  • Stupid cameras! I wanted to see John slap the bass and groove!!

  • I love the John's slap

  • This song is AWESOME! Love the bass and oh how Freddie moved, Magnificent!!!!

  • uhhhh...what a solo!

  • this guy is the best live singer who ever lived, no doubt.

  • the only song that sounds similiar to the studio version, but it's still BETTER than the studio version!

  • if you don't like queen, listen this song, and then you will love queen ! :D

  • I love how he moves!

  • @KillerQueen4691 sped up yoga :)

  • Hot Space, an amazing album and John Deacon's greatness.

  • This version really is fantastic. Nobody can move to the music like Freddie did. He was pure rythmn.

  • guitar tone on the solo is amazing. goooo brian!

  • my favorates!

  • I like every song of QUEEN. QUEEN never makes a bad song.. QUEEN ROCKS!!!

  • THANKS

  • To wykonanie podoba mi się bardziej niż studyjne :) świetne jest! :)

  • and whatta performance from the King of Rock!

  • love this song

  • Nice! Sounds really cool fast paced :)

  • Everyone rips on HS but I never got how it sounded that different from Jazz or The Game... maybe the synths? Who knows. All I know is that it's one of my favorites from start to finish. Las Palabras De Amor is one of the most beautiful songs they've ever recorded. And this live show ROCKS!

  • @DDD1968dd

Sure, I totally agree! Unfortunately many people see "difference" as a problem, ignoring difference contribute to a less monotonous world.

True, HS songs sounds way better live than in studio!... The first time I heard it I was disappointed because they changed damn fast their musical direction to a funk-pop style, and I knew that I was going to miss Queen's golden age 1970-1976 (personally impression, of course).

But as a true fan, I don't mind, love Queen...

    Good luck!

  • @DDD1968dd

Queen is known for been the most versatile band in music; in early 70's with very Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, and don't forget Progressive Rock of course. Then Jazz influences, Canterbury, Folk, Funk, Pop, Ballad, Opera, and many many songs that fear enough could be in a "Queen" Genre.

You like Hot Space for being "one of their strongest albums" I must disagree, I think ALL Queen albums are stronger than Hot Space (Queen, Queen II, SHA, Innuendo, ANATO, an on) Anyway i like this song

  • John Deacon rules! \o/

  • JOHN DEACON .....

  • one of my faves song ..

  • I hate how there isn't a big response when he says it's by John. :/

    But I love Freddie's skipping/dance thing. <3

  • at first i couldnt tell he said john

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting fact: Back Chat would have been solo-less if Brian hadn't stepped in and demanded some rock to one of the most funk-influenced songs on Hot Space

  • just one more of the queen miracle

  • What a song! Lovely performance!

  • i specially like it when he says: take it from there! i sing it when i ride my bike, take it from theeeeeeere, take it from theeeeeere until it almost sounds like japanesse

  • I love this screamin' guitar solo.

  • The guitar solo sounds awesome with Red Special.

  • amazing guitar solo

  • I liked Hot Space. Ok album.

  • Amazing version of this song. I don't like the album version, but live really rocks!

  • yes, that's what i say...

  • agreed

  • This live version is lovely, more bass than the studio version.

  • perfect

  • @goozer102 I agree, all the material from Hot Space Is Better Live, especialy since you cant hear brians guitar much in it and live he seems to play more parts. I love the bass response in live recordings cuz there isnt very much in the albums recordings. Only thing I hate about live performences is rogers vocals are too loud, still sounds really good, cant be helped with drum mic bleed. I LOVE THIS RENDITION

  • @EricUmfress

Makes you wonder why they experimented with Hot Space when the live versions have the more familiar Queen sound

  • @IceOnFire7 totally agree with you

  • @IceOnFire7

Of all their songs done on any album, there's always a live version done way better.

They are simply the greatest band of all time

  • @MrSantiagoandDunbar True. I love this song in live version. Same goes for In the lap of the Gods and Seven Seas of Rhye.

  • @IceOnFire7 queen was always better live then on albums (their albums were great)

  • @IceOnFire7 same with staying power and action this day ;)

  • molto meglio della versione in studio

this is more best of the studio version

  • Ugh, the crowd was as silent as my school's library!

I love this song, and I can't believe that it wasn't a hit. It's completely danceable and fun!

Just another genre of music that Queen completely conquers. Amazing.

  • King Freddie

  • Precioso concierto, y una canción de mis favoritas de Queen!

  • Solo is feckin acid, gives me goosebumps

  • One of the best funk/rock songs ever!

    long live queen!

  • Best version... Awesome!

  • Wicked bass line Deaky :)

Always love Roger's little drum solos ;D

  • great bass line Simple and great:D

Much better feeling than on the album

  • Love this!

  • "Talk to me, talk to me..!"

There will never be anyone better than Freddie. It's just unbelievable what a singer and performer that chap was..

  • Freddie moving across the screen at 2:23 makes me laugh.

  • Beautiful song. This song is spot on compared to the actual song.

  • An amazing Deacon's song. I really like Hot Space, it's an interesting concept, they got more into synths and drum machines. I'm pretty sure that this LP was an influence to bands like U2.

  • pretty good song

  • Cool!!!

  • I just bought this!!! at Schippol airport when my flight was delayed...just thought you ought to know.... :/ great song!!

  • LOVE this song! =D

  • John doesn't have his shorts on :(
