Also yes that big rifle that they use is real. It is a Russian anti-tank rifle called the PTRS-41 that fires .57 caliber bullets, much bigger than the modern .50 caliber bullets we use in the Barret M82 sniper rifle. The gun is about 6 ft long and weighs almost 50 pounds, you would not be able to stand up and fire this gun at the same time. It is specifically designed to rip through the armor of tanks, it would DESTROY a human's torso. Sergeant Pavlov is noted to have destroyed 12 tanks with it.

This entire level is based off of a real life battle that took place during the Battle of Stalingrad. A Sergeant Pavlov and his small group of men stormed a building and when they captured it hooked up with a small Russian company of about 30 other men. For two months using what little weapons they had including the anti-tank rifle they held off the German Army by themselves. Apparently the bodies stacked up so high that they had to move them otherwise the enemy would have them to use as cover.
