I didnt know there is a saturn birch, 1 question, your saturn is maple or birch?
I hope is maple xD I was saying for too much time "I prefer maple instead of birch" but if your toms are birch and sound like this i should think about what I like again
@Kudan26 mapex saturn drums are hybrid maple/walnut. there were special edition birch/walnut saturn kits made in 2008 and 2009, but they were only available in red supernova burst(now a color implemented on regular saturn kits) and a black/silver fade.
Awesome job man but, you look like your sitting in math trying to doing some boring test. Try moving a little bit and get into it, because not to be mean but your boring to watch. I mean, are you enjoying it? Now don't get me wrong, I think you are a great player, i'm just throwing out a suggestion.
smaller toms provide more cut. a huge bass drum is like a sonic thump... if he had a room mic, you would hear the full effect of the 24x20 bass drum..
wat are those headsets for can anyone tell me wat its for???plzz!!!!!!!is it connected to something cause i always see ppl wear them but i just dont know wat its for!!!!!
Im pretty sure those are those noise canceling EARMUFFS .. NOT headphones.. And he has earbuds underneath them... Thats what i do when i drum... Its WAAAAY easier to hear the music
Hey man it sounds so good I wanted to know if you have any effects or a Compressor Gate if you do can you tell me your setting thanks man (I do recording and your drums sounds so good there is no word that can describe it) Thanks again.
no man, back then i recorded my drums through the free program audacity, and i just used the two band eq on my mixing desk to get that sound, i was really surprised with the sound i got
Yeah it is like that but shallower still. it is plenty loud, my only problem is that its quite hard to tune, but dont let that put you off, i love shallow toms!
Its actually amazing, i think you should definately order the Mapex, i think it is probably alot better for your money, plus you get a better choice of sizes, i love my saturn.
that is how the toms sounded out of the box, factory tuned, i didnt tune them before this video to give example of mapex quality. Compared to my old gretcsh blackhawk they are a thousand times better, they are the best drums i've played, i've played some highwood kits that dont sound as good as that kit
I love this amazing drum!

I fucking love this "blue galaxy sparkle" finish!
My Sonor Hilite had adverts with a great "dark violet" laquer so I ordered that color - but it actually looks more like sparkling shit.
I´m happy that most of the people see it as black - but it´s definetly not an eye catcher...
