I appreciate the hard work that has gone into your wonderful dog, some just do not get it!!!! People need to take a chill pill, get over themselves, we ARE in a free country last time I checked, I guess they have nothing better to do, BUT....you are entitled to the opinion in this FREE country!

People who show dogs are absolute stupid, You minght as well abuse the dog for god sake the akita are not bred to be shown in Glamour contests running around like fairies there bred to hunt, work and protect what they love doing.

Breeding them for showing will avenchuly chance the dogs temrement to everything and minght as well not be classed as the akita.

Would love to see pics & pedigree of Loki, this vid was taken 2 yrs ago, this AWESOME gal has since taken WB/BOW/BBE at our NATIONAL SPECILTY ( show just for AKITAS) finished her championship & taken an Award of Merit at another Specialty , all wins breeder /owner /handled :) , I can assure you she is from not only top winning Akitas in this breed but top producers as well, she is destine to continue her winning ways ! BTW , What has Loki done ??

@arniebarb123 ~ depends how much pigment is missing , GENERALLY they fill in but some don' , it is not a real concern unless you plan to exhibit the dog in the show ring, if you plan to do that ,it MUST be all black or it will be disqualified. Send me a pic if you want & I can tell you if I think it will fill in.

your akita is okay but mine is nicer without a doubt :) and comes from better stock i garuntee. Mine is 4 months old and weighs 45lbs and he is a very stocky little fella. He has all all black mask with a little white soul patch underneath the lip, brown and black brindle on half body with white. And alot of dominant spots on the paws. Very cutee !!!!, his name is Loki

I have 7 Akitas I had another Before the 7 came she was given to us by a mountain ranger when he had retired she was a very beautiful dog she looked like this one but a little bit browner but sadly she died at the age of 15 in people years she was great best dog ever she's not replaceable then a year later we had got a Akita from a lady who had many Akita show dogs this Akita who I had got her parents were both show dogs but the mom wouldnot get along with her so they gave her to us then we ha

RIP Heidi. My Akita died in 05, I was so sad when she died. I became so attached to her. And she was a good watch dog. I remember the 1st time I brought her home, she was so frisky, lol.
