What I don't get is that back when these cars were popular, These were the only cars that people drove even in winter. Now it can ruin the car yet how couldn't it ruin the car back then?
Bought one new back then for a little over $3,800. Four speed car, radio, heater and bench seat. Never wondered what I was gonna do on the weekends. Just going to the store was a blast.
I am 53 and had one of these when I was 18, drove it year round in ND. Now have another one I am trying to finish up. Is that the whine of a cam gear drive I hear on deceleration? What cam is in it?
Im now 52....When i was 17 i was lucky enough to own a 69 roadrunner the very same colour red as this one....My do i miss that car it sure was a head turner..At that time my brother had a corvette and he stiil asked to borrow my car because it use to blow the doors off his, To bad the frame went on it...Love to buy another one but i just cant afford 50 thousand....You know i still have dreams about that car..

back in the day, used to have a 69 RR with a 383 & 4 spd., I'd whip a buddies 440 w/auto all day ! . . . off the line

Todays cars will never have the soul of the old cars from the 30s to the 70s. Most of todays cars are just so homogenized and made for women.
