Frankly, I'm not certain which would be worse...sentient machines without emotion which rely entirely on logic (which might mean that they eventually develop contempt for us because we are frequently illogical and irrational beings) or sentient machines with emotion (since the presence of emotions also raises the potential for irrationality and emotional disturbance).
The theme of the movie is rubbish, linearly stupid. If machines will ever be what humans beings could have not been due to its insanity with useless, valueless emotions, machines should get rid of a servant gadget more powerful on "human capabilities." The road of civilization has been of power of the few, not necessarily the best thinkers, nor the most capable to perform a duty with certainty (no milk in my coffee or I'LL go mad attitude). Why play god, creating life as the goal of machines?
