  • When the salmon get like that their just waiting to die, we call em zombies. the last fish you showed that was digging the redd looked like a stealhead.

  • @tom86murphy I didnt even consider that one could be a steelhead. It wasnt rotten like all the salmon.. you could be correct on that! haha.. the poor salmon sure look like zombies!

  • Great video Dan! Those salmon look like they've had a tough life. Thanks for showing the tools too man!

    Ben

  • @TheTribeOfBenjamin THanks Ben.

  • Hey Dan hows tricks my friend? Another great video! Dude you really do live in one of the most magical places on this planet! I'm not jealous, honest!!! So whats the grid refference of that place?? :) Jus kiddin dude. More wildlife, knappable rocks, wild food and plant diversity than a dude could want or poke a stick at! It seems Every foot step is an adventure to be had or fun project to be chilled with. Thanx for sharing fella. Laterz, dave

  • @branni79 heh, heh. Dave, the pacific northwest is an area of great abundance! It is a survivalists dream. Happy to share a bit of our area with you. Dan

I like your perspective on things in nature. Lots to keep the mind occupied and its all out there just waiting for us to descover it. Good show man and nice work.

  • Very good work, Dan, cool video and wildlife, my friend. Thanks a lot. Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk Thanks for coming along

  • Good video Dan...I can't stand Coyotes, he would be destined for a quick death and tanning, destructive critters like Coyotes can decimate game populations... Not as bad as Hogs but I would rate them a close second... Put the hammer down.

  • @CGLouisiana I havent seen coyotes in our valley but a few times, now Ive gotten a couple on camera lately. hmmm

  • @gotrocksinhead Yeah, that sounds like the start of a problem you better kill them now to save you from later problems... The wolves use to keep them in check and they used to only be near the Mexican border now they are all the way up into Canada... They have nice pelts, never eaten one and probably wouldn't because of Rabies. I have killed a lot of Coyotes and have to kill them all the time, If you don't keep them in check they will get out of hand and kill everything in sight.

  • @CGLouisiana It sounds like you have problems with coyotes like we have problems with cougars and racoons. Cougars kill our livestock and coons kill the chickens

  • @gotrocksinhead We have plenty of Coons, I kill them too, Foxes, Minks etc...Having a lot of dogs around keeps the coons and other varmints down, I haven't seen a Cougar, we call them Panthers since I was a teenager, we do have them but not like you guys do, even though the dummy Wildlife & Fisheries say we don't, it just so happens they ate their words a couple years ago when a hunter caught a picture of one on his trailcam, It made my day to see the LDWF eat their words...

  • Very nice video! I like to watch and learn when you make primitive tools....Thanks for sharing

  • @AllergicHobbit I watch videos that stink... :P

  • The white backs on those salmon look a bit like a manatee that I saw earlier today. The back of the manatee that I saw had some white areas where it had spent time close to the surface of the water. Cold had killed the algae on the parts of it's head and back where it made contact with the surface of the water when it surfaced to breath. Fish that spend time near the surface of the water also have the same cold damage but to their protective slime layer. Fish don't usually recover from frostbite

  • @CrypticCRICKET Thats interesting. I havent seen any manatees lately in the creek :)

  • NICE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @richard16372 thanks el mucho!

  • I Do Dan i do love your stuff:)
