I love the 370, but in all honesty I think I would go with a 350 if given the choice. I have no idea why... Maybe it was the sound quality or my ears failing, but the 350 just sounds so much more beefy. Still, both are a hell of a car.

Muscle cars for example the overrated mustang...they just go in a straight line..anything can do that..take the muscle car around the turns with the Z and see the stang get left behind..the only muscle car if you consider it one that can hang in the turns is the z06 vette or zr1 which I do love those cars btw.

If they didnt the 370z would cost 3x more, & they would sell less.

There's a video of a twin turbo charged 350z out running a lambo gallardo. After all, the 370z is 3.8 liter 6 cylinder the same as a porsche 911 (3.8 liter 6 cylinder). Its a Flat 6, but none the less a twinturbo charged 6 cylinder, so just by slappin twinturbos on a 370Z will dramatically enhance performance.
@2006spiceredgto And in case u didnt know, every since the 2007 350z, nissan has been using twin intake systems (the same as all the major sports cars like ferrari, lambo, aston martin, dodge viper, bmw, etc.) So its really already in the same playing field, at least from a engineering stand point, all it needs is boost, ECU, and removing the limiter, and BOWW!, u have a Tier 1 sports car. Because once those modifications are done the Z would be more than capable of super car speeds @ 180+

The 370Z is a fantastic car, and is due for an upgrade to compete with the muscle cars. Still waiting for the 560z upgrade (V8), or TT options. There are after market sources already boosting the 370z to 500 hp, like Stillen, but the torque numbers have yet to get pushed up over 400lbs. Once this can become reality, we can say the Nissan has finally got some affordable serious muscle for Nissan fans.

Lol, common- you really believe that the Mustang's suspension is better? The Z destroys the Mustang on the track. The 370z has 80% all new parts, just like like the G37. A Stock Mustang off the lot - base model is nowhere near as fast as an M3. An M3 is close to or has over 400 HP. Its all about taste, the Mustang is big fat car. The Z is not so big and styled much different. But it corners and handles like a wheelchair. That is why I bought a G instead.

That is kind of embarassing. I didn't realize the GT had that much HP. More so for the M - considering the massive price difference and it is even more here in Canada. I think you can by a GT here for around 50k, and an M is closer to 100k.
And don't get me wrong, I like the Mustang, for the price and performance it is tough to beat. The Z is more expensive. Here in Canada a Z is $50,000 plus, a Mustang base model is about $30,000. I don't know why the price difference in Cars is so different between the US and Canada. The engines are being limited because of Government standards here. A G35 or G37 can go faster then this.
mustang can handle ur "curves and dips"...a factory stock GT with track pack was barely a 10th of a second off the pace of a BMW M3 6spd when motor trend compared them, and the BOSS 302 just humiliated it for over 20k less...and they've won several Koni/Continental Tire Sports Car Championships, compared to Nissan's none, solid axle and all. i think its safe to say the solid axle/mustangs cant handle BS is out the window

Me and my friend have already raced his Touring edition Z against Evo's (on the highway, and on tight roads to see if it would keep up), 3 different Mustangs (a supercharged 00', a newer boss, and a Cobra R), one or two BMWs, and a Merc. The only one to beat us was a twin turbo BMW. I've driven a Z before, I know what they can take. Yeah, they're not the quickest cars, but they handle amazingly.

@mrchargersrt8 well all I can say is this you like Vettes I like Nissans the GTR will do 205 mph the Vette does 201 or something like that all in all theres nothing great about the Vette torque and horspower are roughly the same accept the Vette has an 8 and the Nissan a 6 so besides chugging gas or beating the average car with no effort I might add there not much to that car its a matter of what you like period the base price for a gtr is 112.000.00 thats a lots a money!

@lotusboy24 the car can't do more than 155. Whether he did have it in6th gear or not, it would've maxed at 155 cause nissan put an electronic limiter on the engine so you don't go faster than that lol.

In my opinion, any real premium sports car, (Nissan 370z) should do at least 180 mph, but for the average driver who just likes to punch it every now and again, 160 aint bad.

Not sure if u ever driven a 350 or 370z, but u can feel the tighness and rigidity of the platform, it really feels like ur driving a tier1 sports car. So in my opinion, the 350 & 370z are more than capable of handling high tripple digit speeds. But 4 safety,& catering to us average folks wallets, they limit a lot of things, including performance. If they didnt the 370z would cost 3x more, & they would sell less.

@2006spidgto Says who? all u would have to do is twin turbo charge it, re-map the ECU, and remove the limiter, and it could not only hang, but could potentially out run a Ferrari. There's a video of a twin turbo charged 350z out running a lambo gallardo. After all, the 370z is 3.8 liter 6 cylinder the same as a porsche 911 (3.8 liter 6 cylinder). Its a Flat 6, but none the less a twinturbo charged 6 cylinder, so just by slappin twinturbos on a 370Z will dramatically enhance performance.

@2006spiceredgto And in case u didnt know, every since the 2007 350z, nissan has been using twin intake systems (the same as all the major sports cars like ferrari, lambo, aston martin, dodge viper, bmw, etc.) So its really already in the same playing field, at least from a engineering stand point, all it needs is boost, ECU, and removing the limiter, and BOWW!, u have a Tier 1 sports car. Because once those modifications are done the Z would be more than capable of super car speeds @ 180+

@lotusboy24 Actually.. The Z has had twin throttlebodies since the Z32 (1989-2000 in Japan, 1990-1996 in US). The 350Z (Z33) carried that over, and of course the current Z34 has it as well.

The 370Z is a fantastic car, and is due for an upgrade to compete with the muscle cars. Still waiting for the 560z upgrade (V8), or TT options. There are after market sources already boosting the 370z to 500 hp, like Stillen, but the torque numbers have yet to get pushed up over 400lbs. Once this can become reality, we can say the Nissan has finally got some affordable serious muscle for Nissan fans.

Please dudes, stop with the \my mustang, charger, challenger,' blah blah would go faster. American Cars just have horsepower. They handle like wheelchairs. No suspension. That is why people either buy Japanese, German or Italian. On the track - where there are things called curves and dips - where the quality of a transmission and suspension into play - there is no contest. Besides a majority of the Mustang is built in China - China made parts. Fuckin shameful.

Lol, common- you really believe that the Mustang's suspension is better? The Z destroys the Mustang on the track. The 370z has 80% all new parts, just like like the G37. A Stock Mustang off the lot - base model is nowhere near as fast as an M3. An M3 is close to or has over 400 HP. Its all about taste, the Mustang is big fat car. The Z is not so big and styled much different. But it corners and handles like a wheelchair. That is why I bought a G instead.

@lairdriver Didnt say it was better, I said the system is used on trucks. An M3 has 2 more hp on paper than a new Mustang. A 370z is significantly slower going straight and around a track than a 2011 GT.

Wait, which version of mustang are you talking about? The M3 is listed as having 414 HP, 295 pounds of torque , and a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. Now we know the stock base model Mustang cant do that. Are you talking GT or Shelby? Are there other models?if there are - I dont know them..Im not so up the Mustang.

i checked out the specs. Its sort of embarassing that the M only has 295 pounds of Torque. The Mustang has 100 pounds more and the same HP. The sprint times are almost the same, but I dont understand why BMW didnt up the Torque in the M

That is kind of embarassing. I didn't realize the GT had that much HP. More so for the M - considering the massive price difference and it is even more here in Canada. I think you can by a GT here for around 50k, and an M is closer to 100k.

And don't get me wrong, I like the Mustang, for the price and performance it is tough to beat. The Z is more expensive. Here in Canada a Z is $50,000 plus, a Mustang base model is about $30,000. I don't know why the price difference in Cars is so different between the US and Canada. The engines are being limited because of Government standards here. A G35 or G37 can go faster then this.

mustang can handle ur "curves and dips"...a factory stock GT with track pack was barely a 10th of a second off the pace of a BMW M3 6spd when motor trend compared them, and the BOSS 302 just humiliated it for over 20k less...and they've won several Koni/Continental Tire Sports Car Championships, compared to Nissan's none, solid axle and all. i think its safe to say the solid axle/mustangs cant handle BS is out the window

No but my 2009 C6 LS3 was LOL. I almost bought a 370 in 2009 but decided to go with something with a V8 instead. Sorry but the 370 cant compete. Glad my 07 hr is paid for. I will sell it to you and even give you the stock headers, stock exhaust, stock wheels, stock flywheel, stock air boxes, stock cats, stock pressure plate and clutch disc and a few other stock parts that I took off. Its faster than your 370 and I can assure you it is faster than 155!

Me and my friend have already raced his Touring edition Z against Evo's (on the highway, and on tight roads to see if it would keep up), 3 different Mustangs (a supercharged 00', a newer boss, and a Cobra R), one or two BMWs, and a Merc. The only one to beat us was a twin turbo BMW. I've driven a Z before, I know what they can take. Yeah, they're not the quickest cars, but they handle amazingly.
