I live in Norway and I know how to play this song on piano!! :D It was really fun to play it :D You should add some photos from Bergen too because Harald was from Bergen :D!! The vid was great btw, love the pictures.. Norway in my heart :D!!
Interesting how people criticize the playing. I'm pretty sure this is a recording (naturally played on a full size grand) made by the composer's favourite pianist, Jan Henrik Kayser.
it is not too fast in my opinion, but it would have sounded better on a grand piano.. excellent playing though, I would used a little more dynamics, and maybe not so focused on following the metronome.
You are very good at the piano, but do you play it a bit fast?
I do also plays "Kjempeviseslåtten" and I think it a bit to fast:p By the way, I am also a norwegian and you are really good. How long hav you played?
@henrikbvif Hva gir deg rett til å kritsere den som spilte det stykket? Det var perfekt gjennomført, og sannsynligvis ikke vedkommede som lappet sammen disse bildene.
The piano piece in this video is by far my favoruite one of all time! I'm norwegian by the way, and have been to Sæverud's home two or three times actually. It's quite nice out ther actually. He lived about an hour outside the centre of Bergen.
Remember that Sæverud was from Bergen, not Oslo, Loen, Norrangsdalen, Geiranger, Ålesund or Kristiansund :-) I'm not criticising the choice of music, but maybe the places you visited ;-)
Sæverud was born in 1896, and he attended the same highschool that I attended in 1996, when his name was added to the plaque commemorating famous former pupils, and I was present at that seremony :-)
synes han spiller for svakt... bass notene i begynnelsen skal være sterkere, som leif ove andsnes spiller dem
