Frank Gambale on double neck guitar

the bottom neck is fender scale with the top E tuned to A and the guitar is tuned in 4ths .. but the bottom two strings are tuned an octave lower

the upper neck is gibson scale and in standard tuning

With the recording quality , its not really fair to judge the quality of the performance . This is why some artists don't like being on YouTube , the poor recordings can sometimes make them sound bad.

It is amazing that Frank, basically the best guitarist in the world, plays at such a small venue. I saw this trio there a while back play here. They actually had a keyboard player also for a bunch of songs.
