WELL GLORY !!!!!!!!!! FANTASTIC and AWESOME JOB ! YELP I'LL VOTE FULL STARTS ! This is whatchya call makin that piano talk. Sure wish I had that kinda talent.
Very nice arrangement and great execution of same. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of this blessed song with others. Remember to always do this for God's glory.
Who is your piano tuner... there is no sense in a baldwin grand sounding like that. You are too good to play on a piano that sounds like this one does.
hey i go to a good old indapendant fundamental baptist church right here in tacoma washington! dont need the south to hear it this way i just go to church and there it is .. :) God bless you though
I think you missed my point -- I was complimenting you on the authentic sound/feeling of your excellent performance. That stride/ragtime rendering is how the old-time gospel hymns are often traditionally played in many of the small old-fashioned country Baptist churches here in the South. It's nice that it's spread past its origins here!
wxsarge07; welcome to the family; as the chorus says "He loved me ere I knew him; and all my love is due him he plunged me to Victory beneath the cleansing flood."
I will forever treasure this hymn. I got baptized last Sunday, and the congregation sang this one before the Pastor immersed me. From now on I probably won't be able to sing this one w/o crying...thanks for the post!
One of the pianists in my church growing up played like this. I just listened to her a lot and tried to imitate her and others I've heard. A lot of it is personal preference.
Hey Matt, this is Matt Cooney's brother, Kevin. I am sad that I never actually got to meet you. I love your playing! I love playing hymns! I play for my church.
