You really did not describe anything, or show anything regarding a "how to" video. All you did was show an already painted controller, state that you can do a "tiger" pattern, but you kinda sorta did explain basic things like the correct order in to which colors should be sprayed on. You did not mention the type of paint, as well as leaving out a bunch of other things lol, sorry
@jnwking if you do it right meaning you spray it in even coats and dont put it on too thick, and have it in a good (environment) let's say for drying then the finished product wont be sticky, but actually quite smooth :)
You can sand it for better results (Make sure you water sand it) I think its called water sanding... when you use the water proof sand paper under a sink. Anyway if you use too rough sandpaper then you'll scratch up the surface. So you might wanna use like 200+ sand paper. Then the clear coat makes it smooth and not rough.
if you are referring to not opening the controller then DO NOT DO IT. I messed up one of my controllers doing it. though after like a month of messing with it i finally fixed it you definitely don't wanna spray paint without opening it up.
well if you overcoat it like the thumbsticks for example always come out sticky for me so i just dont spray paint those. you can spray paint abxy and d pad without trouble. It wont come off after you apply a few coats of clear coat. make sure you spray it lightly or it will be pretty sticky and will rub off easily.
@DaFreshPrinceofLA Well, my friend told me that you spray it with the color of choice/design/whatever, and you spray a clear coat of protective shit of it, and it would feel the same.

I don't want to buy new thumbsticks, so I was wondering is there a way to effectively paint the rubber on the thumbsticks.

ok so if you want better results you sand it. will it still look fine without sanding?
ttechnumber1 2 years ago
correct.
NeglectedGlitchers 2 years ago
if you are spraying the case of the 360 do u have to sand or can you just paint on the existing surface?
Also, what is a clear coat?
