  • Well, yes, this film is actually semi-biographical dealing with Todd Haynes early childhood

"I Love Lucy" fantasies often involving spanking. He's mentioned that in interviews I believe.

Spanking is one of those almost universal experiences that connects with a wide diversity of

individuals. Jean Jacque Rousseau the philosopher Thomas Jefferson got a lot of his ideas about democracy from mentioned having a spanking fetish in his autobiography for example.

  • I think director/writer Todd Haynes must have a strong interest in spanking. He's put spanking scenes or references in this film, in his controversal "Superstar: the Karen Carpenter Story" , in his early independent film "Poison" & in his latest project (the HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce"....though that spanking is in the orginal James M. Cain novel). THANKS for posting all parts of this fascinating film! As always, Haynes has a expert eye for visual detail. CHEERS! :-)

  • I saw this on a crappy vhs years ago... wow!!!
