presets are basically sounds/settings that come with the software. it's less original to use presets because they are made by someone else.

I don't use presets. I make my own starting from scratch every time.

@DrDrolomehet Just experiment with the different ones and make sure you get the sizing of the effect perfect! I believe gate is the one you're looking for though, if memory serves it's blue or purple.
