i play them again, but i am dissapointed about the AI logic on very hard ... and if you play against all of them you get same attacks all over again!

Plus they build only frigate ships and none battleships or victoria!!!

Btw if ye hold control (Bottum left key) and press on a troop which you want to create it will make an unlimited amount of them (So it will keep making them untill you stop it)

How do you get this game to work on Windows 7? And are there any games that play like it? I like the building up of resources and stuff. The battles are cool at times too, like sneaking on a ferry, but I don't care so much about all of the fight details. This game seemed to be fun no matter what, but other RTS war games I've played don't have the same appeal. So if you know a new one like Cossacks, please tell me.

@theworldsalight that's because you problably enabled a peace time or something, which means you can't attack until the peace time is expired otherwise the attacking unit will instantly die

@suparpowers No, it wasn´t.. Cossacks was released on April 24, 2001 and even Age of Empires 2: Age of kings came in 1999. But still, this is one of the wonders of strategy games.. My top three strategy games are AoE 2 Conquerors, Stronghold: Crusader and Cossacks: Back to War (with Imperia mod). These three are just so good, that even Starcraft 2 didn´t came that far.. These games will be still played by children of our children.. COH? ROME Totalk War? Sorry, no-one is playing them anymore.. :D

I think that the each other can give us something, that the other can't. In my opinion the second game is better in Strategy in the Battle for Europe game. But it's skirmishes are criminally weak.

The first game is about building a large empire. And there are sea battles, too!

Yes, I did, many times, against 2 very hard enemies. If I survived first hour, I have always won. Past cca 2 hours enemy army become suicide soldiers idiots.
