To all of you haters saying homeless are lazy bums. The economy is getting tough and more and more people are losing their homes and some of the homeless people have a mental disability that makes them not be able to have the right skills for a job
I was watching a sitcom the other day, and one of the characters had been jailed for protesting for the homeless...she explained to the arresting cop, that she heard of a poor, pregnant woman who had been turned away at every place to give birth to her child...so she had no choice but to have her kid in a barn full of animals...the cop said "yes, they do live like animals, don't they?" The woman replied...yes, but we celebrate that child's birth every December 25th....
I know how it feels to be desperate, alone, cold, filthy, sick, hungry, frightened, desperate and hopeless. I was all that, a month ago. For christmas I donated to UNICEF and Heifer Project International instead of giving gifts. Keep up the good work!

Homeless people put themselves in messes they didn't want to be in, so I can't have any say to help them, but to actually say it is not mean but inhumane, this is why I consider us to be stupid animals of the world, we kill each other, mock each other, and what do the creatures we call animals do? The problem is people are so dishonest. Some homeless people did it to themselves, squandering their money on drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc. Some homeless people didn't do anything wrong.
If the first group of homeless people, the moochers, would get off their lazy asses and get a job, then we could help those who are TRULY in need.
My mom had been bed ridden and coma for 9 yrs and the only person who works and tke care of us is my ad.but then last month he died,it was sudden,we all didnt know what to do.we lost everything:( this makes me realize how lucky i am still that we have a home:( im not that less fortunate at all:( GOD i good:(
When you think about it, we really have a lot to be thankful for. When our parents tell us that we should be grateful for everything in our lives, we just ignore them. When dont stop to put what they say into consideration. But if you think about how badly some people are treated out there, its heart breaking. We have food on the table and a roof over our heads. Can goods are sent to homeless shelters because the foods dont spoil quickly. You dont need a stove to heat up canned corn, you can just eat it as it is. As an answer to your question about capitilazing, its called grammar.

A few days ago, my history teacher asked the class "If you had one wish, what would it be?" He called on a few people who said that they want nlimited money. Then by best friend was called on, she also said the same thing. Then when I was called on I said "I want to end homelessness." everyone stared at me as if they thought that I was crazy. I felt horrible, I also felt sick to my stomach. I felt hollow inside as if nothing would ever be ok. Please, don't be selfish! Please, end homelessness.

I was lucky in that everytime it came down to a choice between food and rent, we had family that could take us in. I spent a great deal of my childhood sharing a room with both of my parents in one of my relatives homes. Once we lived on an indoor porch for over a year, with mattresses on the floor. I feel for all of those homeless who haven't any family to show them the kindness my family has shown me.
God forgive us...there should not be homelessness in the United States of America...we are so blessed...what a world it would be if all did as God intended for us to do...love each other...my heart goes out to all of the homeless...we are all one paycheck away from being homeless
I feel total compassion for people who end up homeless by circumstance. But...there are those who PUT themselves there, with their drug addictions, laziness,etc...anyone who puts their mind to it, can find some way to better their situation. A lot of people have just given up. Perhaps I sound like a hard ass , but I was once almost homeless, but refused to let myself sink that low.
This seriouslly made me cry. Before I even saw this video this is what I always thought of when I heard this song. And for people saying that they don't have money to help, do you have time? volunteering at a shelter or soup kitchen is a great thing to do. I don't have much money so it's what I do.
Good video, but I work as a Cal National Guardsman and we open up the armory to the as a emergency shelter for the homeless. Shelters don't receive all the funding if they do we wouldn't have to open the Armory. Money goes to food and well being such as job training and temporary housing. Just as a FYI. If you want to donate jackets, thermals, blankets, but socks, underwear and gloves are most needed. Merry Christmas.
In the video it states the average American is only one paycheck away from homelessness. How are you expected to afford to donate to every single person or place that needs your help. If you see one of these homeless people don't be afraid to open your heart and get them something to eat...or ask if they need something. I try my hardest to help out every time i see one. It kills me to know that these people at one time were little like us going to see Santa before Christmas asking for a simple toy now look where there at...so please lend a hand to someone in need you'll feel great after i promise.
Charity begins at home! If we started in our own respective communities, the problem would not seem so daunting! As we raise each community, then city, then state...we would be in a position to actually be able to make an impact world wide! Im Not Young But im not old either and yesterday i saw a man sitting on the side of the street and i tried to read his sign and it said " Im hungry " But i couldnt read the rest...And my brother always complains how he never gets anything when my dad kinda spoils us..And im like god can hear you complaining and be ungrateful..There are worst people ..Though sometimes i can be ungrateful and selfish I do think that people dont think about what they have until its gone.
I take for granted everything I have. I used to think that just because my parents arein the millitary that I had it bad. But not as near as bad as the homeless. I feel worse when I think about the hmeless with kids. Will their kids get an esuxation someday? Will they get taken away from their parents? Willthey even survive? This is something to think about. Even I understand this and I am only 13! But all I can do is hope and pray for theese people and you can too!!!

Yo especially now, every kid who can even afford to watch this video has it made, man. Who donated this season? A lot of people are probably really lucky that they even have a coat, never mind a house or a decent meal. It really sucks that poverty even exists, but I personally have high hopes seeing how many people care nowadays.

I work with a small non profit organization called the Kayos Kidz and we encouraged all of the surrounding schools in our districts to donate all of their lost&found sweaters and jackets to us and we sent them to opposite schools special for kids and teenagers of low income housing,& we raised money to buy toys to go along with the clothes. many of the parents were really moved.even now we are collecting for next year(toys)& other yearly events.
not everyone that is hom eless use drugs or wine. some have lost their home money and stability due to horrible circumstances like house fires,,,,, storms or just losing a loved one. it is a very very difficult thing to deal with esspecually in these times. ive been there too. but i had people praying for me the lord givith and the lord taketh away

Each and every time I hear this song, I can't help but to shed at least a few tears. This is probably one of the only songs that will do this to me. I'm 19 years old, and make an effort to help as many people out as possible especially around this time of year. My main pet peeve is driving down the street and seeing someone walking down the snowy street, sometimes with arms full of bags. I always stop and offer a ride to those who can't afford transportation without asking for anything in return
offering a ride to a stranger, regardless of their status, is too much for me. Most of the time I just give them money or food, which is what they need.
Donating foods and clothing to homeless shelters all over the world is something i have done every year. I can't bare to see the homeless people alone on the streets with nothing to have.. Its a total sin to see it.. I'm only 14 years old and I still care deeply about the homeless. I want whats best for them.
I'm having a fundraiser for this shelter for house broken teens. This song goes with it really well with what I'm doing. I'm singing for like two hours :P but it'll be worth it, knowing that I'm helping someone. By the way, I'm 13 years old. So I'm proving that even some kid can help change the world :D

Thak you so much for making this video. So many people do not understand that most homeless people are women and children. My family became homeless for a few months after my dad lost his business. We lived out of a VW Bus until my mom finally told my grandma. It is so hard for me know as an adult to see the way the homeless are treated, like second hand citizens. Just remember, especially in an economy like this, that could very well be you some day.

Todays economy and twisted political rights mean that people who sit on their behinds, doing absolutely nothing for a living get a roof over their head & dole money to spend on their unhealthy habits, while people slave 5-9 to put food on their tables, only to pay taxes so that those lazy nobodies can do nothing. THEY'RE the ones that are left with nothing. Homeless people aren't the "bums" of our society.

A few days ago, my history teacher asked the class "If you had one wish, what would it be?" He called on a few people who said that they want nlimited money. Then by best friend was called on, she also said the same thing. Then when I was called on I said "I want to end homelessness." everyone stared at me as if they thought that I was crazy. I felt horrible, I also felt sick to my stomach. I felt hollow inside as if nothing would ever be ok. Please, don't be selfish! Please, end homelessness.

I was lucky in that everytime it came down to a choice between food and rent, we had family that could take us in. I spent a great deal of my childhood sharing a room with both of my parents in one of my relatives homes. Once we lived on an indoor porch for over a year, with mattresses on the floor. I feel for all of those homeless who haven't any family to show them the kindness my family has shown me.

I feel total compassion for people who end up homeless by circumstance. But...there are those who PUT themselves there, with their drug addictions, laziness,etc...anyone who puts their mind to it, can find some way to better their situation. A lot of people have just given up. Perhaps I sound like a hard ass , but I was once almost homeless, but refused to let myself sink that low.

This seriouslly made me cry. Before I even saw this video this is what I always thought of when I heard this song. And for people saying that they don't have money to help, do you have time? volunteering at a shelter or soup kitchen is a great thing to do. I don't have much money so it's what I do.

Good video, but I work as a Cal National Guardsman and we open up the armory to the as a emergency shelter for the homeless. Shelters don't receive all the funding if they do we wouldn't have to open the Armory. Money goes to food and well being such as job training and temporary housing. Just as a FYI. If you want to donate jackets, thermals, blankets, but socks, underwear and gloves are most needed. Merry Christmas.

If you see one of these homeless people don't be afraid to open your heart and get them something to eat...or ask if they need something. I try my hardest to help out every time i see one. It kills me to know that these people at one time were little like us going to see Santa before Christmas asking for a simple toy now look where there at...so please lend a hand to someone in need you'll feel great after i promise.

Charity begins at home! If we started in our own respective communities, the problem would not seem so daunting! As we raise each community, then city, then state...we would be in a position to actually be able to make an impact world wide! i cried alot in this video. So sad. When i grow up (im 13) i wanna open a shelter. Not a prison like shelter , not a shelter where you have to pay to stay, but a GREAT shelter where the homeless can stay, and bathe, and eat. This is a truly moving video. PRAY FOR THE HOMELESS

Im Not Young But im not old either and yesterday i saw a man sitting on the side of the street and i tried to read his sign and it said " Im hungry " But i couldnt read the rest...And my brother always complains how he never gets anything when my dad kinda spoils us..And im like god can hear you complaining and be ungrateful..There are worst people ..Though sometimes i can be ungrateful and selfish I do think that people dont think about what they have until its gone.

I take for granted everything I have. I used to think that just because my parents arein the millitary that I had it bad. But not as near as bad as the homeless. I feel worse when I think about the hmeless with kids. Will their kids get an esuxation someday? Will they get taken away from their parents? Willthey even survive? This is something to think about. Even I understand this and I am only 13! But all I can do is hope and pray for theese people and you can too!!!

Yo especially now, every kid who can even afford to watch this video has it made, man. Who donated this season? A lot of people are probably really lucky that they even have a coat, never mind a house or a decent meal. It really sucks that poverty even exists, but I personally have high hopes seeing how many people care nowadays.

I work with a small non profit organization called the Kayos Kidz and we encouraged all of the surrounding schools in our districts to donate all of their lost&found sweaters and jackets to us and we sent them to opposite schools special for kids and teenagers of low income housing,& we raised money to buy toys to go along with the clothes. many of the parents were really moved.even now we are collecting for next year(toys)& other yearly events.

not everyone that is hom eless use drugs or wine. some have lost their home money and stability due to horrible circumstances like house fires,,,,, storms or just losing a loved one. it is a very very difficult thing to deal with esspecually in these times. ive been there too. but i had people praying for me the lord givith and the lord taketh away

Each and every time I hear this song, I can't help but to shed at least a few tears. This is probably one of the only songs that will do this to me. I'm 19 years old, and make an effort to help as many people out as possible especially around this time of year. My main pet peeve is driving down the street and seeing someone walking down the snowy street, sometimes with arms full of bags. I always stop and offer a ride to those who can't afford transportation without asking for anything in return

Donating foods and clothing to homeless shelters all over the world is something i have done every year. I can't bare to see the homeless people alone on the streets with nothing to have.. Its a total sin to see it.. I'm only 14 years old and I still care deeply about the homeless. I want whats best for them.

I'm having a fundraiser for this shelter for house broken teens. This song goes with it really well with what I'm doing. I'm singing for like two hours :P but it'll be worth it, knowing that I'm helping someone. By the way, I'm 13 years old. So I'm proving that even some kid can help change the world :D

Im trying to say that those certain fund raising company's point there views twords normal stuggleing americans, I'm sorry but if theres a poor family being fed off ramen everyday, then they shouldn't be guilted into going further in debt to donate to a cause like that, guilt the rich people, the people who are living it up, Bill gates is a blessing.

This is a GREAT video. I was looking for a recording of this song b/c I am singing it in my school's winter talent show. It's so sad that some people are living lives of luxery while others worry about how, and IF, they are going to eat today. =( My favorite photo was actually the one with "I Know You See Me." After viewing, I really like to cry. But I can't help those people if I just cry for them. Instead, I made a short story for them, at least I made a way for other people know the real suffering means. I will send it in our National newspaper and I hope it will be publish. Thak you so much for making this video. So many people do not understand that most homeless people are women and children. My family became homeless for a few months after my dad lost his business. We lived out of a VW Bus until my mom finally told my grandma. It is so hard for me know as an adult to see the way the homeless are treated, like second hand citizens. Just remember, especially in an economy like this, that could very well be you some day.

People don't "choose" to be homeless, you uneducated bint. Todays economy and twisted political rights mean that people who sit on their behinds, doing absolutely nothing for a living get a roof over their head & dole money to spend on their unhealthy habits, while people slave 5-9 to put food on their tables, only to pay taxes so that those lazy nobodies can do nothing. THEY'RE the ones that are left with nothing. Homeless people aren't the "bums" of our society.
