She is only 11 years old and her voice has gained in strength since this video. Her diction also continues to improve at an exponential rate....Also she may be compared to an opera singer but is not and by all accounts does not want to be an opera singer at this point in time. So for someone who has had 3 voice lessons in 2 years she sure does sound like a pretty good opera singer to the vast majority of the listeners.

Jackie is ONE OF THE X-MEN she has the voice that can sooth the savage beast,and the voice of a Bard that can with its magic bring people to great ectasy.
No one can listen to her without feeling some emotion. I saw the movie, and the play (live) and I feel she did it better than any of the performances.
I know Im not the only one that gets deeply immersed in Jackie. She makes me feel like I am in the presence of a Goddess that is holding me in a mysterious yet warm comfort while taking me on a spiritual journey through the universe. I feel infinite love.

I was stunned the first time I saw Jackie perform. Almost uncanny the way she conveys such deep passion and emotions like one well beyond her years who has seen much of life, like Edith Piaf... but expressed by a little girl with blonde curls. She moves me to tears. What a gift.
Not since Mario Lanza has any opera singer given me Goosebumps like this. It takes years of dedication and practice, Yet Jackie who has been singing for just 3 years. Her emotion passion is supreme. Her movement’s facial expressions are that of a seasoned performer. When she stops singing Jackie goes back to being an 11 yr old.

Jackie answers, no but I say the words every night before I go to bed. @Kirkunik1 Driving home listening to Jackie's glorious Mi Mancherai, which may be the most beautiful song to ever be sung, I began to uncontrollably weep happy tears of joy. Then I began to smile and laugh like a little boy. I can't remember the last time I really laughed, the the roaring belly laughes continued for 20 min. Everyone is finally realizing what an amazingly gifted prodigy we have here, with a voice that is unmatched. I have also never heard such an incredible voice in my 52 years.

I thank God for the blessing he/she has bestowed upon this planet in the form of one Jacqueline Marie Evancho. The world is simply be a better place with her in it than it would have been had we never been graced with her beauty. If one takes the time to get to know Jackie, it's pretty much impossible not to love her.
She's raised her game a lot in the past year. She's in tune, high notes secure, expressive, poised and she deserves to be in this production. Will those glorious notes still be there after puberty? Will she be encouraged to do the full course of bel canto training when she's ready? Will we have this singer around for another 30 or 40 years? Here's hoping.
She is just so amazing, it is hard to believe how far she has come since AGT. I am so sure she has divine help, and the blessings of the angels. Many thanks to David Foster who has also helped so many artists with their careers, for I am sure he put all this together for Jackie.
@bparno - Actaully rather than crediting devine help for her improvement since her 1st AGT appearance, you might want to thank Yvie Burnett - who's helped Jackie a lot during AGT & again on the creation of her albums and during her PBS special. By all accounts she's an OUTSTANDING coach - Andrew Lloyd Webber swears by her (as does Susan Boyle in her book).
@lordbalfor Actually I like what I wrote, and I would not change a note of it. Divine is the actual word I used. It is a grace from GOD whom Jackie prays to every night giving thanks. But you are so correct Yvie Burnett has also been a large part of jackies success. thanks for mentioning.
Jackie has always had that beautiful bell like tone. Listen to Jackie pre-Yvie. She has had this beautiful tone since she started singing as she was turning from 7 to 8 years old. As Dr. Rosen (vocal specialist) said on ABC's 20/20, Jackie produces hear sound from her brain. Coaching does help to a certain degree. But she won't receive "training" until she goes through puberty as training to young is not good, from what I understand from people who are qualified in voice issues.
@oakgrasssib - Oh, I've seen all the assorted videos from when she 1st started out & I agree she always had a good voice. However her voice at 10 is NOTHING like her voice at 8. Her voice at 8 is that of girl with a pretty good voice. Her voice at 10 sounds is that of a mature pro. Now, clearly Yvie didn't do that since Jackie showed that talent upon her 1st AGT appearance, however breath control, nerve control and other professional "tricks" are exactly the things Yvie teaches - and they HELP
@lordbalfor Agreed. Breath control and nerve control, like the penguin walk before performances . Also having Yvie around is a confidence boost for Jackie as her mom has stated in the past on the Amazon boards. On Jackie's first CD, PTAD (Prelude to a Dream) the track that is my favorite is Starry Starry Night because you can hear her voice starting to develop into what we hear today (2 years after PTAD). Some of the passages in Starry Starry Night are simply stunning.

@farbschlacht I just love the way she SOARS into those high notes... it's distinctive of her style. I find her style particularly chilling because she colors the lyric more emotionally than I've heard other singers do, even though she doesn't have the emotional depth of experience. It's as if she empathically can connect with the songwriter in an instinctual and intuitive innate sense. I've heard nothing exactly like her.
I think a lot of singers, young and old, beginners and pro's can learn from Jackie. She understand's that the lower notes sets-up the high notes. I have always believed that the lower notes were more important that the high notes because the low notes color the story. Without the color you have no story. No story no emotion.

IMHO, The highest and most beautiful form of art is singing. Song is one way God allows us to be intemate with Him and the world. The most beautiful instrument God has made is not the violin or piano, but, Jackie. I was stunned the first time I saw Jackie perform. Almost uncanny the way she conveys such deep passion and emotions like one well beyond her years who has seen much of life, like Edith Piaf... but expressed by a little girl with blonde curls. She moves me to tears. What a gift.

Not since Mario Lanza has any opera singer given me Goosebumps like this. It takes years of dedication and practice, Yet Jackie who has been singing for just 3 years. Her emotion passion is supreme. Her movement’s facial expressions are that of a seasoned performer. When she stops singing Jackie goes back to being an 11 yr old.

The talent and facets of this lil darlin are endless. Before singing The Lords Prayer like an angel, David Foster asked Jackie if she'd ever heard it sung. Jackie answers, no but I say the words every night before I go to bed. Jackie has said she just likes boys as friends, yet she can sing the greatest love songs and arias, more beautiful than the world has ever heard.
Not only is the voice of this lil lady, splendid, lovely, and beautiful, but everything about her is.

My tired laptop's speakers couldn't handle the volume I craved, so after plugging in HD earphones the notes were let loose - wow!

JACKIE EVANCHO! I now watch Jackie sing "This is All I Ask of you" in this video at least once or twice daily. I find her voice Angelic, Beautiful, And Finally I am accepting that Jackie has entered our world of music deservedly as a top star at the tender age of eleven (11) years old. Now I just watch her in amazement, awe, and treasure each moment that she sings. She is A Treasure!

@TheMusicguy68 --I have listened to and watched Jackie sing for hours daily the past year. I never tire, and am more amazed and awe struck with the pure beauty and love in her voice every time. Since there are really no earthly words to describe Jackie and her incomparable voice, I call it Angelic, Heavenly and Devine. I think the Spirit of God, sings through Jackie. There is no one in her class, and only Jackie can make old men cry happy tears of joy. Bravo Jackie !

@davekanak I completely agree. People comment on her "voice". Yes, it has a beautiful rich quality and pitch perfect pure....but there is something....a depth...a connection with the Divine. I do believe the Holy Spirit is with her. Professional singers and students of opera can hardly stand it. All the training in the world doesn't produce such profound reaction in people. She touches your very soul. I pity those who can't experience it. An Angel sent

@Kirkunik1 Driving home listening to Jackie's glorious Mi Mancherai, which may be the most beautiful song to ever be sung, I began to uncontrollably weep happy tears of joy. Then I began to smile and laugh like a little boy. I can't remember the last time I really laughed, the the roaring belly laughes continued for 20 min. ( good I had my windows up, lol :-) The more you hear Jackie, the more your senses get in tune with her rapturous glorious voice. I hope all will experience Jackie's joy

When an 11 year old girl arrives suddenly who can sing more beautifully than Barbra Streisand or Sara Brightman, one might conclude there is Divine Intervention here!
Irrespective of this, Jackie's singing is totally beautiful and amazing, and a joy to behold!
Let us just accept the beauty that defines Jackie, as a wonderful event that brings joy to all who hear her and are awestruck by her!

Jackie cannot be compared to anyone.. After all there is another voice like hers.. There isn't another performer who can perform as well as her.. and there is no one who at the age of 11 can sing like a well seasoned singer in her 30's and yet when the song is over she accepts her accolades and applause like the cute 11 year old girl that she is.. Who in this world can minutely compare to Jackie.. NO ONE!!

The only singer in Jackie's class is, Jackie. I recently said not only is Jackie the greatest singer ever, but also the greatest performer, that to me has to be the greatest singer. Lbf, took issue with me and called me a fanatic. I'm guilty, I do fanaticly love Jackie and her voice, as many others do. BRAVO

It is so nice to come back to these sites..Not only to enjoy stunning performances by Jackie but to also read one accolade after another for our so well deserving star, Jackie evancho.. Gone are all the nay sayers, the lip synching theorists.. Now, Jackie sites are filling with people who just love love her.. Just like I do... and yes its ok for a 64 year old man like me to love such a star.. I've never heard such an incredible voice in my whole life..

All the nay sayers, lip synching theorists, and voice critics are disappearing, and the vast majority of the comments are from people who have only positive things to say about Jackie. Everyone is finally realizing what an amazingly gifted prodigy we have here, with a voice that is unmatched. I have also never heard such an incredible voice in my 52 years.

She's raised her game a lot in the past year. She's in tune, high notes secure, expressive, poised and she deserves to be in this production. Will those glorious notes still be there after puberty? Will she be encouraged to do the full course of bel canto training when she's ready? Will we have this singer around for another 30 or 40 years? Here's hoping.

She is just so amazing, it is hard to believe how far she has come since AGT. I am so sure she has divine help, and the blessings of the angels. Many thanks to David Foster who has also helped so many artists with their careers, for I am sure he put all this together for Jackie.

@bparno - Actaully rather than crediting devine help for her improvement since her 1st AGT appearance, you might want to thank Yvie Burnett - who's helped Jackie a lot during AGT & again on the creation of her albums and during her PBS special. By all accounts she's an OUTSTANDING coach - Andrew Lloyd Webber swears by her (as does Susan Boyle in her book).

Jackie has always had that beautiful bell like tone. Listen to Jackie pre-Yvie. She has had this beautiful tone since she started singing as she was turning from 7 to 8 years old. As Dr. Rosen (vocal specialist) said on ABC's 20/20, Jackie produces hear sound from her brain. Coaching does help to a certain degree. But she won't receive "training" until she goes through puberty as training to young is not good, from what I understand from people who are qualified in voice issues.

@oakgrasssib - Oh, I've seen all the assorted videos from when she 1st started out & I agree she always had a good voice. However her voice at 10 is NOTHING like her voice at 8. Her voice at 8 is that of girl with a pretty good voice. Her voice at 10 sounds is that of a mature pro. Now, clearly Yvie didn't do that since Jackie showed that talent upon her 1st AGT appearance, however breath control, nerve control and other professional "tricks" are exactly the things Yvie teaches - and they HELP

@lordbalfor Agreed. Breath control and nerve control, like the penguin walk before performances . Also having Yvie around is a confidence boost for Jackie as her mom has stated in the past on the Amazon boards. On Jackie's first CD, PTAD (Prelude to a Dream) the track that is my favorite is Starry Starry Night because you can hear her voice starting to develop into what we hear today (2 years after PTAD). Some of the passages in Starry Starry Night are simply stunning.

That is extremely unique and is what (IMHO) makes her voice so enrapturing (sic) and captivating. I would hope that "technique" does not remove that as I find opera, which I like, at times off putting simply b/c the technique masks the purity of being a "relate-able" broadly.

@farbschlacht I just love the way she SOARS into those high notes... it's distinctive of her style. I find her style particularly chilling because she colors the lyric more emotionally than I've heard other singers do, even though she doesn't have the emotional depth of experience. It's as if she empathically can connect with the songwriter in an instinctual and intuitive innate sense. I've heard nothing exactly like her.

I think a lot of singers, young and old, beginners and pro's can learn from Jackie. She understand's that the lower notes sets-up the high notes. I have always believed that the lower notes were more important that the high notes because the low notes color the story. Without the color you have no story. No story no emotion.
