It's a dilemma of West End Live - it's great publicity for the shows, but the temporary conditions in Leicester Square don't always make it possible to give a performance that does justice to the proper experience in the real theatre. Several of the stars over the weekend appeared to sing a bit flat or sharp whereas in the proper setting with the theatre sound system they can sing flawlessly. I suspect the WEL stage feedback monitors may not have been working as well as should be expected.
