i read that he told somebody he sings this song with his former girlfriend, anita wood on his mind. his mom always wanted them to get married, but anita walked away from him because she overheard him telling his dad that he couldn't choose between her and priscilla. i believe she was his true love. in an interview with anita years later, she said while they were together they talked about having kids and if they ever had a girl, they would name her alisa marie. hm, ain't that funny?

You look at that girl, to half filmed, which is stopped by the police... but Elvis, so human, tells the police officers not to chase her/it street and gives to her his/her foulard!
