  • It is a Piper Comanche 260B (Single engine, 6 cylinder 3 bladed prop).

    Linoleumcarving, have you ever flown a Comanche? do you know about laminar flow wings?

  • We flew in a single engien (6 cylinder) plane with main and aux tanks from Goose Bay Canada, to Narsarsuaq Greenland, and from there to Reykjavik Iceland and the next leg was from there to Wick Scotland.

    The plane held about 90 gallons of fuel and at best economy could stay aloft for 7 hours or so.
