Lisa could you please do a make up tutorial for wheatish indian skin. Im finding it very difficult to wear any make up besides eyeliner! Thank you so much <3
Lisa, I'm not sure if you'll read this or not, but it's worth a try, even if someone else can help me.
I'm 15 and, no matter what I do, my makeup ALWAYS looks really dry. I use Bobbi Brown's Moisture Rich Foundation, I use very very little amounts of finishing powder, then go over my face with Fix+. I also cleanse with Lush's Ultrabland (very moisturising) and I moisturise religiously with my Nivea Visage moisturiser and my prescribed one (I have eczema). Please help me :(
@yipyipitsme123 can you switch from foundation to tinted moisturiser? I find it's better for really dry skins as there is less pigment so it doesnt draw attention to dryness. Ask your Bobbi Brown salesperson if they can give you a sample (or take an empty pot) of their tinted balm for extra dry skin as I find it really excellent. Also go easy on the powder ... you may not need to use any? Let me know how you get on X
@lisaeldridgedotcom Thank you so much for replying! I buy all my makeup myself, so I can't really afford anything expensive right now, but I made a little pot of some 'homemade' tinted moisturiser (just mixed a bit of my foundation and my moisturiser) and it has worked wonders! I don't really need full coverage foundation anyway, just a bit of evening out. Thank you for your help and advice :)x
So sorry to butt in but I have a few suggestions, since I have been dealing with the same problem for years. There are two DERMATOLOGICAL brands that could help you. Avène and LaRoche Posay. They both have a range of skincare products and a range of foundations, for really dry and sensitive skin. Avène has a Baume in a extra rich formula (formule très riche) and I use LaRochePosay's foundation. Boots has Av. but you might need to order my suggestion! Goodluck!
@ArtLookSpirit Ps. Avène products claim to be non-comodogenic - so you don't risk clogging up your pores! I hope this was useful I went ballistic for years!
@yipyipitsme123 Don't worry dear: thay are not dead-cheap, but you get great value. They're not Dior or Lancome priced ;) Avène is affordable, espec. because the baume I told you about comes in a huge tube (200 ml i believe?) happy to help!
I love this video do much! I wish you would do them more often. I'm sure you get thousands of comments and requests but I want you to know that you changed my life for the better, and I am forever indebted to you. Thank you for being so real and honest, candid and warm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Big hug your way. xo
Hello! Have a look at my beauty channel! I could use the support, and I would love to hear feedback! And who knows? It might be exactly what you're looking for. :)
I can't believe how absolutely beautiful you look for your age, do you have any tips on lifestyle that maintains natural health and beautiful, do you take any supplements, avoid the sun etc. Great videos and extremely inspirational to all creative avenues.x
Your skin always looks flawless with AND without makeup. What is your skin care routine? What kind of facials, serums, creams, etc. Could you do a video geared toward healthy glowing skin?
I just found your channel yesterday and I absolutely fell in love with your creations (the boring word 'tutorials' just doesn't apply), and I would be so, so grateful for your advice. Could you give some tips on concealing scars? I have big burns on my face, so even a "quick basic coverup" takes a painful amount of time and effort, and it still doesn't look that good. Please and thank you.
can you talk about eye lash curlers please? make up artists are always raving about the shu uemera - but what makes it so much better than something basic from a highstreet/drugstore brand like revlon? i don't want to spend the money if it's basically the same thing. thanks!
I LOVE your shirt! Thank goodness I can sew, otherwise I'd be on the internet all night trying to find it. :-D Love your personality and eagerness to educate us. Thanks Lisa!!!
You and Pixiwoo ladys have inspired me so much, you can't imagine! I second the hooded eyelid / monolid tutorial! Everyone that does one have a double lid, which isn't as helpful even though they tell you what should work
@cjx3pooh I find the tutorials about hooded eyes by someone in the early 20's absolutely hilarious! Really if someone is going to do a hooded eye tut then use a model with a hooded tut.
I am so in love with your videos. Thank you for all the great tutorials. Do you have any suggestions on how to do makeup for asian eyes? I don't have much of a lid and would love to get some ideas. Thanx!
i really like the fact that you do use high street brands not just for the sake of showing us that you do but you have them in your kit which is brilliant
i am really sick of people who just use mac mac mac
not every one can afford mac so lisa you are a star
That was realy interesting. I have to say, I love your accent. I could just listen to you talk all day LOL ;) I have a question about your own personal style: I noticed that you rarely use bronzer in your looks for everyday or work. Is there a particular reason for it because I feel on yt bronzer is a much hyped product. Also, I really love that you do not only show us MAC. I am bored with all these yt gurus talking about MAC, I want to know more about what else is available and good. Thanks!
Lisa yes please do a video on the different types of concealers. I have bought so many and cannot make them work. I keep getting so many mix messages on what is best for my sking tone. One person will say, go more towards peachy tones and others have said no go for more pink tones.
YAY! So glad you're making an individual video specifically for under-eye concealing. I'm 19, I have the worst dark circles (all over, from directly under the eys all the way to the side) and I've had it since I was a kid. I've experimented with many, many expensive/inexpensive eye creams/serums and NOTHING has worked.
Can't wait for your video :))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Lisa, I would love to see a video on your fragrance collection. Totally non-make-up related, I'm sure, but it's so much fun to see what other people recommend.
hahahha! everytime that i go to a photoshoot i think of my makeup the day before "what am i going to wear... i have to look like a makeup artist" the morning comes i dont have any time to put any makeup on hahahha!
I have tried everything, from curling mascaras, primers, curlers, etc...I can not find a way to get my lashes to stay curled. I curl them up and they look so good, but as soon as I put mascara the curl is COMPLETELY GONE!!!!! I have no clue as to what else to do!
I loved this video, Lisa, thanks so much for taking the time to get back at us :D
And by the way, know that you're not only helping me with make up, but also with my English! I'm studying for the CPE and you're making my speaking brilliant, just by parroting you, lol. xx
I'm really glad you don't use heaps of Mac stuff. It seems like everyone who does videos on YT has worked for Mac, and I do get a bit sick of them using so much Mac. I like that you have everything from cheapies to high end items, and as I don't live near a department stor cosmetics counter, when you show lower end cometics, at least I can go out and buy some of the stuff. I don't have anything against high end brands, but I can't get it as readily as the other stuff.
It is fascinating to hear you talk about your work and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see your studio/make up collection which I am sure everyone else here would too!!!You are soo successful yet so down to earth !! I think your amazing!!
Lisa ure absolutely stunning. I watched ure video on how to cover acne n was amazed. I was hoping u could do the same for hereditary dark circles, the type that r sunken in,dark purple n extend down to the cheek bone like raccoons. Please help people like me who look in the mirror everyday n look like they jus woke up from the dead. I am east Indian with an olive/light medium skintone. If u need a participant I'm willing n waiting in Canada lol.
Hi Lisa :) I am a guy who has VERY oily skin and just want a foundation that has light to medium coverage (skin like), that is not very heavy, and will last throughout the day. I am considering buying the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, any recommendations on what kind of make up brand to test out or make up from Chanel to consider?
Love your videos, I have learned so much because of you :)
Hi Lisa, being following you for while now but never really commented much, and I just want to say that you are an absolutely lovely person, I love your videos and thank you so much for taking the time in doing all of these tutorials, they are incredibly helpful and so inspiring.
Hi I was wondering base on your experience, what would you recommend products that fade acne scars. I was j/w, because there's is so many of them out there, I heard that hydro-quine doesn't work effectively. hope to hear from you soon. t/k, bye....
i absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your videos. u have no idea how much u help and inspire us.
if its possible could u do a makeup tutorial for hooded eyes/monolids? all the other videos dont actually use a model with hooded eyes and its soooooooo frustrating because they dont actually work :P thanks!
Oh I love you're videos sooo much!!! You are definitely the best make-up guru here on youtube. I cannot wait to see you're other videos about under eye concealing and summer make up especially!
when you do the video about undereye concealing, please please please could you suggest concealers that are compatible with all eyecreams? (I had 2 totally different eyecreams and couldn't use my concealer because it caked so terribly, it was disgusting). thanks! :)
Hi Lisa! I really like a dewy look to the skin. First how do i achieve such a look and how should I apply face powder to set the foundation but also to keep the dewy texture? Which face powder would you recommend for this? Thank you :) x
You are amazing and I so appreciate what your doing. I have a quick question though. What is your favorite black eyeliner that will stay on for a long time. Thank you so much!! :) <3 <3
Absolutely love this video, cannot wait for follow ups! I agree with all the nice comments about you! You are just such a wonderful person in every way! Thank you so much for posting!
OMG yes! please please talk about makeup in warmer conditions. I live in the tropics and i'm not sure where i would even start for foundation and concealer because on top of it being hot here most of the time, i have oily skin which is SO annoying
hi lisa, you said you will be coming to NYC...I would like to proper way of reaching you for makeup consultation? Should I email you on your business email? or this maily vacation trip?
How to really master coverage of brown spots I developed right around my eyes very pigmented too! I hate it so much my makeup just never looks quite right with this extra pigmentation.
I am soo looking forward to the under eye concealer video! I need so much help in this area oh my! Thank you for doing this video Lisa, you are truly amazing xo
Love the fact that you don't use just MAC products, although I like them as well. Makes me think "I can look great with whatever product I put on my face" =^.^=
So helpful and interesting, this is such a treat for all of us, in fact you are such a treat for us, we're so lucky to have you here on YT!. I'm so looking forward to finding out more. Hope you had a lovely evening. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.
how do you dry your brushes? is it true that if you leave them lying horizontally, the glue will be washed out? and at what age do you think we should start wearing eye creams? THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING OUR QUESTIONS, YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE ROLE MODEL!!! ur tips are definitely the best!!!!
I like to ask if you could tell us more about takeing care of skin, like beside cleaning and moisturising, SPF,,, what else you do to keep skin young and flowless? how often you go for facial and what facial you choose? do you do skin peel and which one is best to do? any skin tips we woman love to know. thanks for your time dear xx
Hi dear Lisa, your are the reason I love youtube, once in my life I had really hard time and doctor gave me strong depression tablet and I was so worried when I took those table because it had other side effect and that was time I found how to stop useing those tablet and spend my time with some thing make me feel good and watching your video was the one thing make me feel good about my self, maybe there's so many women out there that you make their day. I like to thank you xx
You are so knowledgeable and I really respect you as a make-up artist. You also seem really genuine and obviously very helpful. Love you collar on your top by the way :) x
Hello Lisa - I love your tips, tricks and advice. I just wanted to add a question to your list. I recently turned 40 and have been buying mega amounts of products - I could just imagine how replete your collection is. With that being said, how do you keep track of the expiration dates on all of your cosmetics?
Lisa, I don't know if you will see this, but I still want to ask. What is your favorite fragrance/perfume/s? I recently got into perfumes and so I would love to know what a classy lady like you prefers to wear. :)
hi lisa, my eyes are uneven and i'm not sure how to make the unevenness less obvious when i wear black liner - one eye appears slightly smaller because it's more hooded, whereas the other has a more obvious double lid. which eye should have thicker liner? if i wear the liner thicker on the larger eye, it makes the eye look even larger, but if i do it for the smaller eye, the liner is hidden by the hooded part anyway. :S
I found your advice re eyeshadows and eye colour very helpful. I struggle to find eyeshadows that suit me and end up sticking to the lightest colour possible because of how fair my skin is. As a result, I have no idea how to use darker colours. Could you give me some advice about trying bolder colours for really fair (I have albinism) skin? Thanks, ket
oh, lisa I adore you! and I can´t forget how much I love this look - the filled eyebrows with the bright lipstick and that sequin collar - so chic! :)
isn't it funny that on a daily basis you have all this questions popping up all the time, but then when you can actually ask them you can't remember any? so frustrating! anyhow, in the mean time i'm just as happy watching whatever you decide to post on YT because it's always informative and enormously inspiring!. thanks, lisa! ps: i can't believe a few people are complaining about you blinking too much, that is just hilarious!
Lisa, watching this vid now, but just had to pause it to tell you about brush guards! I use them every time I clean my brushes and they help maintain the shape fantastically well. You can get them on amazon, I hope you check them out. Love your videos, they've helped me so much. You're a class act.
can you show us what your daily beauty routine consists of?

Hi Lisa :) I am a guy who has VERY oily skin and just want a foundation that has light to medium coverage (skin like), that is not very heavy, and will last throughout the day. I am considering buying the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, any recommendations on what kind of make up brand to test out or make up from Chanel to consider?
Love your videos, I have learned so much because of you :)

Hi I was wondering base on your experience, what would you recommend products that fade acne scars. I was j/w, because there's is so many of them out there, I heard that hydro-quine doesn't work effectively. hope to hear from you soon. t/k, bye....

when you do the video about undereye concealing, please please please could you suggest concealers that are compatible with all eyecreams? (I had 2 totally different eyecreams and couldn't use my concealer because it caked so terribly, it was disgusting). thanks! :)

Hi Lisa! I really like a dewy look to the skin. First how do i achieve such a look and how should I apply face powder to set the foundation but also to keep the dewy texture? Which face powder would you recommend for this? Thank you :) x

Hello Lisa - I love your tips, tricks and advice. I just wanted to add a question to your list. I recently turned 40 and have been buying mega amounts of products - I could just imagine how replete your collection is. With that being said, how do you keep track of the expiration dates on all of your cosmetics?

hi lisa, my eyes are uneven and i'm not sure how to make the unevenness less obvious when i wear black liner - one eye appears slightly smaller because it's more hooded, whereas the other has a more obvious double lid. which eye should have thicker liner? if i wear the liner thicker on the larger eye, it makes the eye look even larger, but if i do it for the smaller eye, the liner is hidden by the hooded part anyway.

Thanks, ket

Lisa, watching this vid now, but just had to pause it to tell you about brush guards! I use them every time I clean my brushes and they help maintain the shape fantastically well. You can get them on amazon, I hope you check them out. Love your videos, they've helped me so much. You're a class act.
