Tramadol withdrawal is WITHOUT A DOUBT worse than opiate withdrawal. Been through both. I'll take opiate withdrawal ANYDAY over Tramadol withdrawal. If your doctor gives it to you, DON'T TAKE IT.

Anyone out there who is about to go through opiate or tramadol withdrawal, please look into "Kratom" It's a plant. some of you out there might already know about it but it's 100% legal here in the US and while it's NOT an opiate itself, it acts almost just like one for a lot of people. Flushed the rest down the toilet. I seriously felt like i had an upper respiratory infection or strep throat or something, but the doc said i had no virus or bacterial infection. This stuff is worse than regular old vicodin/percocet/etc. I dislike opioid type drugs anyway.. nasty habit to break.
Tramadol occupies a grey area -- it is partly in the opiate category, and partly not. In any case, it is very effective for moderate pain control, and certainly better, in my view, than those drugs that put one "on the nod", such as Vicodin, Percocet, etc. If one is conservative with it, I think it can be a very effective pain control medication.
@iBasketcase It's crazy, to help with my withdrawals, they gave me tylenol 4. lol, fighting a "non-narcotic" with a narcotic. Yes, it should be banned or at least looked at further.

thats because it has a brain chemistry altering effect. the withdrawals on typical opioids can last a few days to a week, with tramadol it can take up to a month and a half for your brain chemistry to get back in whack. i know...i took 30 a day for a loooong time

Stop social with any body just stay home and I'm can not sleep like I do before. Even worse I stop drinking water instead for the last few years I'm only drink soda or coffee. Now I don't know how to get rid of it since I have severe herniate disc.
Tramadol makes me itch like crazy and makes me angry (after the initial high). It does make the pain go away but somehow I prefer the pain. My friend told me my eyeballs were rolling to the back of my head too when I had a drink after taking the meds. (I know you are not supposed to drink but I thought I'd be ok. Never doing that again! I vomited for hours).

u can get a high when drinking a bot of wine or a few bottles of beer but i dont do that because there is a hangover the next morning after and it is not cheap.

I have tryed to quit manny times. but now i'm finally going to make it, BUT it's going to take a long time. antidepressive medication (SSRI) or youre
taking dextrometorphane.
it can end in a serotonine-syndrome !
higher single doses of tramadole than 250mg and up
can provoke seizures!
